Since leaving JWs I think the queen is pretty kewl too. I believe England should keep royalty, its all part of our heritage and history. A lot of people would like to see the end of Royalty though they have given us a unique identity in the pages of history, I say keep em.

it is pretty pathetic for some people that claim they don't like the content/style/quantity of your threads and then to constantly dog you in them.
i think it takes a decent measure of talent and thought to consistently post interesting questions that generate good responses and from the number of replies/reads you get per thread, i would say others think similarly.. even your critics cannot seem to resist opening and reading what you write.
personally, i think they are jealous and frustrated that simple questions generate more interest here than their long well-researched essays.
I appreciate Minimus too, though I think its also ok to critisize him, I guess the more posts and main threads you create the more you open yourself up to critisizm. Minimus has proven he can take the flack.

over the years i have had several collections, ranging from louisiana bottles, (this collection was stolen); books relating to la.
which i donated to a library; books by or about jws, which i gave to another library; a stamp collection, which is at my sister's house.
my florida related stamps are now on exhibit at the state library of florida.
I tend to collect dust..and the occasional cobweb

i still remember my first talk pretty vividly.
i was 8 or 9 at the time, and as a kid that was "born in the truth", it was only natural that i should join the school at that time.
i remember getting my talk slip a good three months before i was to deliver it, and my talk was prepared a full month before the date (this was the only time i had such advanced preparation.

My first talk was on the "Recreation" and I thought I would be counselled on "learning to breath while on the platform", however after picking me up off the floor with violent pulpitations I got through it ok.

unbelieving mates versus inactive mates...
i could never figure out why the org told wives of inactive or brothers doing less, that they were to do their own thing and just not listen to their husbands?
if they were married to a unbeliever the org said to listen to him unless it were a direct vilation of bible standards.
Unbelieving mate...is a term used to distance children from their natural parents and get them trusting more in "Mother" org as the grow in to adult life.
"Unbelieving" is a derogatory term and has worked to break the natural bond of family ties! In the Watchtower he's not reffered to as dad but as "moms unbelieving mate" or vice versa
