Beauty is in the eye of the...
I have seen people whose faces are disfigured through accidents or abnormal births or people who just have awkward bone structure, big noses, thick lips, etc. But as soon as they smile, I see beauty, deep beauty. It kinda melts me to see them smile or cry. Behind the face is a person made up of exactly the same as you and I. I have lived confidently ugly, what we are given in life is not by choice, but under any circumstance I wouldnt choose the most beautiful face with the ugliest personality over the ugliest face with a smile.
The smile says it all, it changes perspective, look at my avatar and see.

I don't think God is fair./what do u think?
by wednesday inmy therapist and i talked about the bible, specifically, adam and eve and their sinning by eating from the forbidden fruit.
he says it is really a great lesson on consequences of your actions.
i agreed and we talked at some length about it, but one thing i decided, god was not fair.

Maybe just being there for him while he sorts out his feelings is all I can do for him, and helping his wife when she needs me.
You say "all I can do" as if it was a small thing, you are doing a lot by just being there. You are on the right path, its good that you are there for them.
You are bang on, never help someone out of their marriage, just be there for them, you are a good sort. Keep it up.

Those that would never miss a meeting or field service no matter what...

did you know a few in your congregation that would never miss a meeting, no matter what.
even if it was 20 below zero or 100 f or if they were sick, they would be there anyways.. these people irritated me, because they wanted to show how good they were.. did you know any like that?

Erm, a lot of us never missed a meeting no matter what, come hell or high water we would be there. It was really down to strongly believing the WTS. It was also like clockwork, you didnt have to think about it, thursday at 6pm we just automatically found ourselves getting ready to go. It was a minority who didnt go to every meeting.
