.
what is the most ridiculous song that you couldn't listen too.. because of so called bad lyircs (maybe misheard lyrics), sexy beat or because fo the person who sang it didn't have the proper morals?.
mine.... couldn't listen to ac/dc because it meant they went both ways.
And "Bohemian Rhapsody" because it says something about Beelzebub...
That kinda got me laughing ... aint nobody knows what the sung is about but yes it does mention beelzebub.
I couldnt listen to The Mary Jane Girls "All night long" cus it was naaaarsty, I got the CD as soon as I left JWs.
Marvin Gaye "Sexual healing"
I got counselled from the platform for buying MJs "Bad" album.

have any of you had experiences like this?.
last weekend, i was at a friend's social.
i was outside smoking and conversing with two other ladies.
WTF?? You sound real stupid on this thread.
;)
jk
some of you are familiar with my story so i wont get into it again.
i just talked to my friend's mother and she has agreed to read papers on jws and think about her position with her daughter.
she has agreed not to say anything to her about it and if she feels i am right in my opinion than she will listen to me about alking to her.
Shawn, there is a docufilm called "Witnesses of Jehovah" by Jeremiah films. It was made in 1986 but I highly recommend you get a hold of it, it will serve a great purpose for you. You need a very light approach to warn other people of JWs, those who have not studied it will be put off by anything too indepth. Freeminds is a good place to start.
Seek and find the film, you wont regret it, I stopped quite a few going into it by simply showing them that film>

When was that? Sounds interesting.
Mid 80s, about 85ish? I was there in the meeting while we were going through the article. Every JW would heard it back then. It also mentioned that he had put the little statement at the end of the thriller video that mentioned his "religious" beliefs"

Psychology is very interesting, I was going to do my degree in that but changed atthe last minute and did social work instead.
Looks like y'all had a head start in PCs, my first was a Pentium 100! 56k modem!
i've heard this said by a few ex-witnesses in my three years away from the organization, and have sometimes said it myself.
sometimes it is said in the context of, "i'd like to move on, but i just can't stop thinking about them.
could it not be that one of the reasons ex-jws "can't stop thinking about" the organization -- and their past involvement with it -- is that they daily log onto this site, read about the society and talk about them?
I doubt that he is sitting there thinking "I'm so superior
I doubt that he was sitting there thinking at all.
he never was a JW
erm, yes he was, fully fleged, even gave an apology that featured in the watchtower following the making of "thriller".
