Yes, we do do it all the time. Getting kicked in the teeth later learning NOTHING from the experience, because next day we're at it again searching to replace what we lost. Leads me to conclude, irregardless our personal values, most people MUST have something to love, no matter the cost.
Love is neither objective, nor subjective, yet there it is, with us compelled to walk on hot coals to possess loving something, or being loved. As Terry said love is tricky.

Had a spiral notebook that contained pass words to all sites I went to. While on my vacation said notebook vanished. When I created an account 7 years ago { wow has it been that long? } my e-mail was hotmail. JWN would not accept my request for password since they could not verify my e-mail account. Thus I created a new account so I could thank everyone for their words of encouragement.

He who holds the chalk puts the mark where he wishes. The gb has nothing to offer, all they have is the chalk, with which they control jw's. Like Rupert they can hit the barn anywhere they wish, as long as they have the chalk.
This current generation of gb members have NO GUIDANCE, no leader, and more importantly NO PROPHET. All they can do is shoot up the barn and use the chalk.

I may be more hard headed than Terry. I also fell off the front steps smacking my head against the house, that was in the morning, other fall was the evening of that day. The following is what the hospital found.
Was quickly going into kidney failure. Doctors talked about dialysis
In congestive heart failure
Acutely de-hydrated
Acutely enemic...gave me two units of blood
Traces of blood in the stool, which called for being scoped { there is a funny story behind that, behind, I'm so funny }, stomach, colon. That Doctor removed 10 to 12 polyps. No blockage or bleeding found.
Pain Doctor now has me on morphine 30mg extended release twice a day. In fact the Pain Doctor wanted me to take the oxy 3 TIMES A DAY for two weeks 10mg extended release. He didn't agree with the hospital. After we had a come to God meeting { not a plesant sight to see, sometimes you have to stand your ground } he switched to the morphine. His reason,or more likely reason to cover his butt, they hadn't tryed it first. The oxy was shutting my body down. Not having any problems with the morphine.
THANKS EACH AND EVERYONE for your prayers, well wishes and blessings. CoCo, your phone call and Shelby's was most appreciated, SD7 we have got to get together, you only live twenty miles from me, and Terry, what can you say about a GOOD friend like him. Hard to express in words. He is my oldest long standing friend and I do mean FRIEND.
What did I learn from all this? Well, this is the third time I've knocked on heavens door. The ONLY reason I continue to walk above ground is my family and Terry who saw what I could, or wouldn't. Made a vow, if they ever tell me I'm not right, off to hospital I go. You cannot cut corners with your health.
Tally-Ho one and all. Stay safe, watch your health, when somebody says you NEED to go to the hospital GO, DO NOT DELAY.

7. To leave the world a little better for your having been in it comes very very close to having a purpose in a life worth living. Help somebody/anybody each day. Even in one small way.That's not a bad way to live. You might start the most wonderful chain reaction and an explosion of goodness.

Sometime back was standing in line to buy some smokes. There was an older gentleman in front whom the store refused to cash a pittance of a retirement check. The gentleman said "You've done it before"..."Sir we don't do THAT anymore"....along comes a manager..."No, CAN"T DO THAT"..."How much does he owe, I said?"..."Such and such"..."Give him two more and ring it on my bill"....That old gentleman asked me three times: "Sir, what can I do for you?"...."..."Have a nice day, when the time comes you'll know what to do"
I tell that story to tell this one......Left back tire on my car was going flat. Tooled around to Gibson Hardware and bought Fix-a-Flat. That can wasn't working right and my tire was getting flatter by the second, also had no jack nor spare. "Got a problem?"...."My tire, Fix-a-Flats not working." "I got a pump that works off car lighter, we'll hook it up and inflate the tire." Making a long story short, that young man went into the hardware store and bought another pump, needle nose pliers and a flat fixing kit. He not only aired the tire, he patched the hole. He GAVE me everything he had purchased saying: "Might need it and no don't want any money."
Yup, 7 is top of the list for me. Having been a jw I can tell you so called WORLDLY PEOPLE ARE NOT WICKED AND EVIL. There are kind helpful people every where who want NOTHING in return for there acts of generosity.
