"The one thing that has remained the same for 122 years now, Argmageddon will be here very, very soon."
Ahh, thanks Larc.. I've been looking for that one elusive 'fact' that hasn't changed!!!!!!
what changes in the society's teachings can we remember?
.
1975..blood transfusions...elder body arrangement.... .

i wish there were more genuine witnesses here to answer our question .. why do you think they dont come?
I do too sleepy.. I'm not an apostate, so they shouldn't fear me.. But when I ask honest heart felt questions, they never reply.. I can only assume that the questions stump the "TRUTH"..
Oh well, sometimes you can get more information by the lack of an answer than you can by an actual answer...

Don't forget the one about grounds for scriptural divorce were not homosexual acts, as the spouse needed to become one flesh with another.. Later, or course, it changed..
Oh, and don't forget the blood transusions.. Until 1930's or so it was allowed, then completely banned, and last year it's a conscience matter if you want certain fractions of blood.
How about if the people of Sodom were to be ressurected or not? Flipped many times..
How about War, until 1939 JW's were allowed to goto war
How about Christmas and other holidays, until the 1920's - 1930's, many of them were allowed
How about the 'other sheep'.. Until 1934/5 there was only 1 class, until Rutherford 'found' the new class via 'new light'..
Don't forget the big one of recent times, that of the redefinition of the term "generation" - Specifically the "Generation of 1914 will by no means pass away...."
How about the one about "It will be preached in all the lands of the world and then the end will come".. I believe that has had 'new light' that it doesn't mean literally all the places on earth any more..
How about the one where Abraham, Isaac and the rest will come back (Live in Beth Sarim).. They gave up on that belief also..
How about the one where they rearranged everything into "theocratic order" - The Elder arangement of today..
How about the "Changing from 1 leader to the body - The governing body arrangement"
Come to think about it, this thread would probably be shorter if you were compiling a list of things that haven't changed.. Seriously, does anyone have something that has NOT been changed in their history? I cannot think of one thing!!!!! NOT ONE!!!!
a terrible, unhappy picture?.
yes it is, but nevertheless biblical.
it depicts.
Yeah mindfield,
I find it interesting that the JW's don't believe in hell, because god couldn't be that cruel, yet they believe in the big bloodbath of Armageddon..
So much compassion, so little time left <G>
imagine this!
what a tempting thought.. the org, banned, witnesses hunted like rats thru the streets as they sneak around in their reverse coats and changeable hats carrying out the preaching work.
outside your house an incident, three neighbours are beating up on a witness, hitting him over the head with his own briefcase.. would you join in?
No!
Of course not! Not only would I not support it, I would be very vocal in my opposition against it..

Hi Yardif,
You said:
"The irony of it, is that if they instead were to make the proper choice THEN they would be privileged to be among those of that day who won't EVER have to taste death at all ... certainly a unique opportunity considering that everyone since Adam (except for Elijah etc.) has had to go through that unpleasant experience"
Can you explain this scripture to me please.. I'm confused by it when taking your above statements in contrast to it..
Hebrews 9:27 (NIV Version)
Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment
here's a representation of how many times that christendom has hit the bullseye with regards to knowing what the bible teaches.
she teaches that man has an immortal soul; that heaven is the only destiny of the "saved" (no paradise earth then); that jesus and his father are co-eternal/equal (that jesus had no beginning); they say that what jacob and his mother did was bad; political envolvement (part of the world); loves pagan holidays; thinks that god produced the star of bethlehem;thinks that the commission to preach only applies to the clergy and not to the laity; etc., etc., etc.. .
christendom considers herself to be christ's representatives.

Awww shucks.. And I wanted answers..
Well, you know what they say:
"You want answers.. I want the truth.. You can't handle the truth"...
I guess we have our answer then, they don't have the truth :-)

Hi Yardif,
I asked you some questions about "ABSOLUTE TRUTH" in the "evil star" thread..
http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.asp?site=3&id=15854&page=2
Would you be so kind as to answer them, as those answers will also relate to your claim that "Christendom will never hit the mark" here.
Thanks, and I look forward to your thoughtful reply,
Peace be with you,

posted below is an email i received at work.
i immediately forwarded it to our web-designer to find out if what this person says is true.
he replied that it was a scam.
I would look and double-check that your website is infact using secure protocols..
Other than that, it sounds to me like a sales pitch..
BTW: I do not know law, but I believe that if you advertise a secure application page, and it isn't, that is false advertising.. You may be somewhat responsbile for that (just guessing).. If you don't advertise a secure page, then I don't think they can do much..
Basically, I think it is just a "I'm a web designer" doing an interesting twist on a sales pitch..
