I find it interesting that the
JW's don't believe in hell, because god
couldn't be that cruel, yet they believe
in the big bloodbath of Armageddon..
Turning that back on you, I say this: I find
it interesting that Christendom don't believe
in this type of Armageddon, because they can't
imagine such an act of God, yet they believe in
hell ... supposedly a place where God everlastingly
cooks the souls of all who didn't make it to heaven.
The fact is, is that Armageddon is only somewhat a
duplication of the Flood ... a cleansing act. It's
hilarious that Christendom can accept the one but
can't stomach the other.

Well, didn't god state that he would never cause a flood again? So, are you now suggesting that god said he wouldn't kill people by the way of a flood, but that he will use some other method for the next round of destruction?

Oh, and for the record, I personally do not believe in Hell, but then again, I don't believe you goto sleep when you die, either...

But, I digress... This whole topic was started by you, meaning that you are trying to make a point.. So, make your point without questioning others.. The onus is on you to prove your point, not deflect honest questions to your point by redirecting the questioning to me...

where do you think there is an inconsistency?

Hebrews 9:27 states that everyone is going to die once, and then be judged..

How can all men be destined to die once and then be judged and at the same time have an opportunity to NEVER taste death?

Your statement is not in harmony with Hebrews 9:27.

Organ transplants!

i have read a few posts in threads about organ transplants.

does anyone have a list of articals regarding the transplant issue.

the past april i gave my sister a kidney.

Goto that website, and then on the left hand site click on 'transplantations'..

It gives alot of info on their views of organ transplants..

BTW: You must be careful how you word things, as the witnesses are very well known and adapt at something called 'theocratic warfare'. Basically, the elder is correct, in that they were not 'banned'.. Anyone could have an organ transplant, but in doing so, they would have been found to be canibalistic and expelled from the congregation..

The proper phrase of the question you should ask the elder is something like:

At one time did the JW's view organ transplants as cannibalistic, and if a JW accepted one, would they have been disfellowed?

We all know what you meant by the word ban, and so did the elder.. But in the wonderful <gag> world of the JW, they are allowed to deceive you in this manner, by doing a bill clinton "Exactly what do you mean by sexual relations"...

Of course, the JW's are even more deceptive, because they will not even ask you what do you mean by 'ban'.. They will just pick an interpretation they want, and then give you the answer with that interpretation..

If you want to have fun with the elder, after he tells you that yes, indeed at one time organ transplants were considered canibalism, ask him why he told you they were not banned..

He'll probably say something like, "Well, if someone wanted the transplant, we cannot ban them from getting it".. You'll see exactly how he knew what you meant, but purposly tried to deceive you..

I do too sleepy.. I'm not an apostate, so they shouldn't fear me.. But when I ask honest heart felt questions, they never reply.. I can only assume that the questions stump the "TRUTH"..

Oh well, sometimes you can get more information by the lack of an answer than you can by an actual answer...

Don't forget the one about grounds for scriptural divorce were not homosexual acts, as the spouse needed to become one flesh with another.. Later, or course, it changed..

Oh, and don't forget the blood transusions.. Until 1930's or so it was allowed, then completely banned, and last year it's a conscience matter if you want certain fractions of blood.

How about if the people of Sodom were to be ressurected or not? Flipped many times..

How about War, until 1939 JW's were allowed to goto war

How about Christmas and other holidays, until the 1920's - 1930's, many of them were allowed

How about the 'other sheep'.. Until 1934/5 there was only 1 class, until Rutherford 'found' the new class via 'new light'..

Don't forget the big one of recent times, that of the redefinition of the term "generation" - Specifically the "Generation of 1914 will by no means pass away...."

How about the one about "It will be preached in all the lands of the world and then the end will come".. I believe that has had 'new light' that it doesn't mean literally all the places on earth any more..

How about the one where Abraham, Isaac and the rest will come back (Live in Beth Sarim).. They gave up on that belief also..

How about the one where they rearranged everything into "theocratic order" - The Elder arangement of today..

How about the "Changing from 1 leader to the body - The governing body arrangement"

Come to think about it, this thread would probably be shorter if you were compiling a list of things that haven't changed.. Seriously, does anyone have something that has NOT been changed in their history? I cannot think of one thing!!!!! NOT ONE!!!!

what a tempting thought.. the org, banned, witnesses hunted like rats thru the streets as they sneak around in their reverse coats and changeable hats carrying out the preaching work.

outside your house an incident,three neighbours are beating up on a witness, hitting him over the head with his own briefcase.. would you join in?

Christendom will NEVER hit the mark!

here's a representation of how many times that christendom has hit the bullseye with regards to knowing what the bible teaches.

she teaches that man has an immortal soul; that heaven is the only destiny of the "saved" (no paradise earth then); that jesus and his father are co-eternal/equal (that jesus had no beginning); they say that what jacob and his mother did was bad; political envolvement (part of the world); loves pagan holidays; thinks that god produced the star of bethlehem;thinks that the commission to preach only applies to the clergy and not to the laity; etc., etc., etc.. .

christendom considers herself to be christ's representatives.

Well, you know what they say:

I guess we have our answer then, they don't have the truth :-)
