There is a way forward - show them that God is not judgemental, that He is not expecting us to find truth amongst a Babel of religions, that there is no finishing line to cross - in other words, show that He is not threatening.

Does the WT attract needy dysfunctional type of people?
by William Penwell inin your personal experience, do you think that the wt attracts needy types of people?
over the years, my experience is that they do attract very needy, insecure, dysfunctional, types.

Christadelphian
by Billy1000 inmy name is stephen and i am new to the forum.
i am a christadelphian and through my discussions with fellow members of my ecclesia it has inspired me to reach out to other religions to find out exactly what others believe to enhance my own faith and further bring me closer to our heavenly father.
in no way do i mean disrespect if it has been caused.

I think there will be cherry-picking until we give loyalty to God rather than to our church or to our own beliefs. We have to be willing to admit we don't know, or that we are wrong on something - then our recommendation can be for individual cherries rather than the baskets which harbour them.

Bets on when the UN prophecy will be dropped?
by marmot innow that i'm free to bet, i figured it would be neat to start a pool on when the watchtower is going to change light bulbs on the prophecy about the united nations turning on worldwide religion.
there is no doubt in my mind that this prediction will be dropped.
not only is this the longest-running unchanged prediction in the wt's history (1925 and 1975 had much shorter gestations) it's the last detailed concrete prediction the society has left in its bag of tricks.

That's a problem when declaring that Revelation is going on as we speak - the tendency to shoe-horn in whatever they see around them. Trouble is, it maligns those it accuses, often for no reason. The watchtower view on Revelation is fundamentally flawed, not just wrt the UN

Acts5v29
Good afternoon TTWSHF
Revelation 16 tells of the kings of the earth being assembled for the great day, to the place called Har-Mageddon. The actual battle is recorded in 17:14 where they fight the Christ, but because he is in overall authority in the earth he will defeat them. The slaughter is not just because the Heavens want to slaughter someone, but to overcome an active and determined rebellion - not doubters.
This is getting away from my ministry, which does not teach, but I hope this is helpful. -

Good afternoon outlaw,
I apologise for thinking you meant the time of God's intervention rather than the time for Armageddon - the watchtower sees them roughly as the same,so that's what I thought you meant. Anyway...
When YOUR "Time Line" arrives for Armageddon..And..
Non Believers don`t accept the Evidence Presented,of Gods Existence..
"Is Your God Going to Slaughter Them?"
The slaughter at Armageddon is for a specific purpose: to quell the attack against the Christ, not to slaughter those who do not believe in God. Unless you decide to engage in that fight, you can feel confident of surviving Armageddon.
.Armageddon is to remove those who are actually fighting against the Christ, not those who do not

Acts5v29
Good morning Outlaw,
What happens to the people who are not satisfied with the Evidence Presented that God Exists, when YOUR "Time Line" is met?..
What happens to the "Non Believers"?
When those in authority call to God for help over the consequences of the climate crisis, He will respond to abate it. That healing of what has been a potential nemesis will be impressive to everyone - and if that does not convince people, then it is likely that nothing will.
There are and always have been non-believers and non-believers - the latter simply will not "believe" because they don't want to be, as they see it, beholden to a superior authority in the Heavens. The former are sincere in their non-belief. Sincerity is the key.
When God intervenes, all non-believers will remain alive - God will not destroy at the hour of His demonstrating His benevolence to us. As for those who die at Armageddon, it is their unbreakable belligerent attitude which prompts them to fight against the Christ - many will be believers, but just want to be independent anyway.
Attitude is everything. It may seem like a strength, but in truth it just telegraphs weakness.

I think it also turns some insecure people into self-righteous, aggressive ones - as if they have sensed a door out of their insecurity into power. In all honest, I think insecurity is preferable to that - its hard to like someone who has turned themselves into a judgemental mouthpiece. -

Good afternoon LoveUniHateExams,
Thanks for your reply but I feel you're trying to dodge the gist of my question.
It only seems like that when my answers are not comprehensive, but no - I won't do that to you. If your questions are relevant to what I do, I'll answer.
Now, another question which becomes evident is this: what about the irreligious, the gay couples, the evolutionists, the atheists at that future point. They're not warring with Christ or anyone else. Will they be slaughtered at that time?
Honestly? My ministry does not address that - Armageddon will come sometime after God's rescue, but it will be a rebellion against authority, and those in that particular rebellion alone will be slaughtered as a matter of necessity - that's all I know. I could hypothesise - you know:
"why would gays not just live as they do"?,
"why would there be atheists after everyone will have seen God intervene?"
- and why would any of those want to rebel against authority! but all I know is what I've told you.
But I do believe that God's intervention - and the evident proof of His existence and His benevolence at that time - will change a lot in people. Theory of evolution will still be scientific, but God's appearance would not make it an atheistic issue anymore; and as much as sex is great - I'm told - there are things which can be far more meaningful, and which let our love for others be amplified rather than being hindered - just different, but immensely beautiful.
Could I add a post-script:
I know the ministry I've described seems suspect to some - the watchtower has made many people reject God as well as the church - and any mention of God sounds like it must have ties and caveats and catches... but this doesn't. It's just something very simple with no person or church as its owner - anyone can have it quite separately from worshipJehovah.org.
