This is so weird! A couple from our town just won 12.5 million and of course it was the talk of the town.I was in the grocery store today and they were there getting groceries.I walked up to them and told them how cool it was that someone from our town won BIG! I asked the guy what it was like and all he told me was it is a huge relief.He was just laid-off from his job and it could not have come at a better time.I love it when people who really could use the break have the luck go their way! They seemed like good people.There was a letter to the editor in our local paper from a reader who basically told them that they should donate a whole pile of money and that this is the right thing to do and blah,blah,blah.I told them to do what they want with the money and have fun.I wish it would happen to me but I`m glad it happened to someone who could use it.

Zebras (Awake! magazine Jan 2001)
by Duncan inwell, weve been in our new house now for almost two years, and we finally got our first visit from the witnesses, a couple of days ago.. two very nice middle-aged ladies stood on my doorstep, asking me would i accept their two magazines for free?
- they were old issues from january well, how could i refuse?.
its gods will that zebras are striped and thats the beginning and end of it.. for an educational magazine this is just a disgrace.. can you hear the voice of the great teacher in this?

I have to echo a previous post and agree it would have been nice if Bush would have said SOMETHING.We were the 1st country to send help when the Twin Towers were attacked and the 1st country to organize a rally to show our support to the people of New York and the rest of the States,but many of my fellow Canadians will remember the blatant omission of thanks to us by George Dubya in one of his 1st addresses after the help started pouring in.It seems every other 3rd world country was mentioned except us.

look at that other whale, roseanne, after her ratings started to go for a cowshit she announces that she too was "abused" as a child.i mean,why do they not make revelations like this when they are at their peak?
just think for a moment and i`m sure you can come up with a few more.oh,and i apologize to all the whales everywhere.....
