A question about lying and the Jehovah's Witnesses

i have seen questions regarding how much jehovah's witnesses lie all the time on yahoo answers.

here is the latest question:.

jehovah's witnesses, is lying at any time something jehovah approves of?.

I can only speak from my own experience. I had a friend, while I was an active publisher.

She was a licensed Day Care provider. She has gone to school before she became a wittness,

she was well trained and experienced, having worked for a College Day Care Center.

She now ran a Day Care out of her house.

Over the course of time, it came to light that children she was taking care had been sexually abused.

The children were the children of an elder. She KNEW they were being sexually abused, she could tell

from their blatant behavior and innapropriate sexual knowledge, ( they were pre-schoolers )

She knew the father and mother, and said NOTHING to anyone including nothing to the Police.

It was her legal and moral responsibilty to report this, but she did not, because she didn't want to

accuse an elder. His name was David Mochart of the Santa Barbara, California, congregation.

What do you do to cope with loneliness?

hi jw netters.

in the last few months i have felt extremely lonely.. .

was a witness.

Volunteer work is a great suggestion. Being out there doing something SOCIAL, in an area you ENJOY, It could be: a Photography Club, Sports, some MeetUP group that does a specific activity, a Travel group, Art Lessons, Yoga Classes, Arts and Crafts, Bird Watchers, .... the idea is to go and do something enjoyable with other people who like the same things be it bowling to the opera, or a book club, there are so many activities and so much good times ahead, don't look back at friends who abandoned you, as one person told me, those people are not safe. I was disfelloshipped while going through Cancer treatments and chemo, can you imagine ?? This is love ?? NO it isn't. You just have to re-learn how to be a HUMAN BEING in the REAL world full of regular people, most of whom are very nice.

This is a long interview but worth listening to.

You can see the results on this very site by so many who post here, of their own intellectually abused childhoods,

Who, even in their "mock rebellion", they are still locked into the hierarchy of the "organization" (scary)

The "fear based" thinking, the isolation they have experienced the neglect of their education, the

lock-step mentality and low self esteem, or grandiosity ( Lars ) That has been their experience.

Growing up believeing they have "special knowledge" and that there is a "governing body" who controls

all "Truth". Even the "born-in" adults think there is two alternatives, the "truth" or no God at all.

The obvious abuse of children is the fact Jehavah's Wittnesses let then die by bleeding to death

when they could have saved them.

The idea your very life is less important than obedience to the ever

changing rules of the "faithful and discreet slave". Think of the children who died.

This knowledge is something even very young JW's understand. They are disposable children.

Flashmob - perfect - Do it - solemly , all dressed up, dispersed throught the Hall - Possibly wait till the non-participating and the non-partaking of the non- Body of Christ refuses to drink the wine or touch the bread ( making Jesus very Sad ) and then as the crowd gets up - on a signal- start the music -nothing and dance your way out together - bring big young men who will intimidate - the ushers - PLEEEZE do this

Or better yet - a Flashdance ?

Or combine them all - Occupy - drink all the wine -

and then do a choreographed group dance and upload it to You Tube.

In memory of...

i was reviewing some ex-scientology sites and on one site they have a "morgue.

" in it, they give the names of all the people who have died due to scientology.

it made me think that it would be neat if we could set up a "in memorium" board for all those who have lost their life due to jws screwed up policies - blood, organ failure, suicide, etc.

I have a TRUE Christian Science, story.

In my youth,at 19, I was a Hairdresser, went to the one year beauty school thing.

The owner of the salon I worked at was a Christian Scientist.

They have "Practioners" which is their replacement for actual Doctors.

Their belief is that all "pain" is an allusion, well that everything is an allusion.

They teach that the "mist" that went up from the earth described in Genesis,

to water the earth before the flood, symbolized "mysticism" ( yeah I had a giggle too )

But I did not like the idea a religious "Practioner" was collecting $$$ to "treat" people in pain

and telling them there was no such thing as pain.

So this old, woman Practioner comes in to have her hair done once a week,

she sweats, uses tons of hair spray and never washes her hair during the week and

sometimes not for weeks, it stinks and she has dandruff.

This day I am asked to do her hair. I resist, then I give in and do it.

When I am shampooing her hair I tell her I can stop the itching on her scalp by giving

her a Sea-Breeze dandruff dreatment ( which is mainly alcohol )

You are supposed to dilute it, but, I deliberately poured it on straight, knowing

it would burn like FIRE on her irritated scalp. It did.

She was furious, I almost got fired and I told the Christian Scientist owner,

"Well may be next time someone says they are in PAIN she will believe them. "

To those who are Jehovah's Wittness, Watchtower Governing Body followers, "Truth" is a Code Word meaning; do you accept the eight men in New York City as God's sole channel of communication between Mankind and God.?

Placing any man in the position of Mediator is the definition of Cult. Its idolatry. The organization and the Governing Body are feared and worshipped and Jesus takes a minor role as some angel in the background.

JW's are obsessed with the idea there must be a small group of men ( never including women) who are "special" a "Class" .

They take the phrase "faithful and discreet slave" and make it an idol, take it to mean something it never meant, take "stewardship" to mean something about an organization and the leaders of that organization. No such model exists in the teaching of Jesus Christ.

Just read the gospels, its only four short books, you can do it.
