  it is 17 years now since i got clean from drugs!

  i was big on uppers, hash and opium.

  i quit cold turkey 17 years ago with no slips since!.

  which one teaching really hurt you when you found out that it was not true?

  my number one thing is finding out that the name "jehovah" was not in the bible like it was in the new world translation (tm).

  christians did not call god "jehover" "jehovah" or by his first name, no more than you would call your father by his first name when you were a child.

  What must we do to be saved?

  jw's love this topic and have a long list of "do's & don'ts" that need to be completed in order to be saved.

  as you all know - it is a "works based" belief - if you do enough you might make it.

  i have struggled with that concept since i was little, wondering how in the world we could ever do enough to be considered worthy.

  Could a JW pharmacist give out the morning after pill?

  this subject came to mind a few days ago when a saw a news article about a pharmacist working at a eckerd drug store in texas.

  a woman came in for the morning after pill but the pharmacist who was very religious-not a dub-went in the back of the store and prayed about his situation.

  he says that god told him that this wasn't ok, so he along with the other two pharmacists refused to give the pills to the woman.

  Do Nice Guys Really Finish Last?

  i was just thinking about this and would like to get other opinions.. girls, do you tend to fall for nice guys?

  and by nice guys i mean guys who fall all over you and worship the ground you walk on?.

  because frankly, i cannot deal with guys like this.

  As long as my priorities are in the following order, I never had to worry if I am nice guy or not...but never a whimp or a SNAG 1. Family-for obvious reasons. 2. Friends - will always be there when the gf leaves 3. Career - Financial Stability 4. girl friend - the icing on the cake. And yes, I DO finish last..........in the bedroom
