i wonder how much of an impact this will have on the blood policy in ireland, if any at all?
the article does not say the woman was a jw or what faith she practiced.. any medical professional's see any reason for a jw to deny the use of retroviral drugs?
I thought "it" was just a hunk of flesh. You know her body her choice? what if she had said the hell with it I'll just kill it know, would we see it on the net? no, that would be fine, but this sucks. I'll never understand.
if what we do now kills the baby in the womb that is OK, but if what we do now will kill the baby after it is out of the womb that is child abuse.

I think he was saying it is worse to stick a pair of scissors into the brain of children then it is to rape him/her. He wasn't talking to priest who might abuse children, he was talking to children who might have an abortion, trying to tell them how very evil the murderous act of abortion is. Murdering is worse then harming, notice the quote:

seriously though, this sort of thing is really appealing to those of us that bought into the live-forever spiel that jws dish out.

I here you, the way the WT teaches about the bible it couldn't be anything but false and harmful to someone trying to be a Christian.
Jesus didn't give us the bible he gave us redemption. you don't need the bible to be redeemed you need Jesus. scripture is good and useful for teaching, that is it, the end, that's folks. it is not the word of God, it's the divinely inspired writings of men.
"the world wide flood" is not about something that happened one month a long time ago, it's teaching somthing else, forsing people to believe it's a diary of a historical event, the WT keeps it's people blind to what it is about.
Divinely inspired doesn't mean historically accurate it means influenced by God.
The WT talks a lot about this thing they call "Truth" but to we humans truth is a subjective thing, skin deep and influenced by our perspective, it can't be otherwise. The bible is useful in teaching a divine truth, this I think is a very different thing.

I think the WT would keep that from happening, there are no witness get togethers or meetings were planing could take place, outside of the elders control. Think about what would happen if a witness started talking about organizing something like that

I don't think you are so bad. I know your only a kid trying to do what you think is good and that's cool but if you say something you must back it up, that's the way it is. If you cut and past a quote people will look at it and talk about it, they will expect you to explain or defend it. EVERY poster has the same responsibility for his/her comments. think about what you expound as truth, if it stands in the light good, if not that is something you will need to think more about.
