  How many Saviors

  hopefully a learned jw can answer this for me.. i have many jw friends & attended a couple of meetings.. one friend dropped by every month or so handing out pamphlets etc.

  and we enjoyed the visits.

  one saturday i asked him who was savior and he said jesus.

  Jesus and Jehovah are not the same being, they are totally separate, and there are scriptures that prove this.

  Really though, Jehovah IS our saviour, and Jesus is merely carrying out His fathers will.

  Jehovah is always going to be the HIGHEST in the order of things, because He created all things, and none of His creation can equal that.

  No Invalid Baptisms

  from what i gather at the service dept., there is no such thing as.

  an invalid baptism.

  they defined it out of existence.

  that post just hit me like a ton of bricks. i do dare hope.
  the WTB&TS inc. on the other hand i think will protect the corporate image. but what a great cost to each and every JW and there familise in one way or another.

  Watchtower methods of subliminal messages

  it isn't necessary to use words to convey a subliminal message.. take for example the use of illustrations (photos) found on page 26 in the february 15, 2001 issue of the watchtower.. the three pictures show witnessing in differenet parts of the earth, namely the east, europe, and africa.. 1. woman in smart asian dress with hat.. 2. man with black clothing replete with beret.. 3. african man with long sari type robe which is light brown in .

  colour, quite smart and clean.. in each picture the witness is dressed in western business clothing whereas the person being witnessed to (the worldly person) is in native dress.. is this another subliminal message?

  native or customary dress marks an individual as wordly?.

  if a) is true then god is arbitrary: anything he says is right, is right.

  so you admit that gods decisions are purely arbitrary?.

  the problem with the parent child analogy is that as the child grows he/she will become equal to the parent, so he can expect to live by the same standards as the parant. this is not the case with god.

  standard being, somthing establised by authority, custom, or general consent as a model or example
  
  there is no one to set the standard for god
  god is one of a kind so has no customs to follow
  one of a kind so no consent
  one of a kind so no one to set an example to, only lesser beings to give law to

  "If God defines the standard, it IS the standard. If he doesn't, then he is subject to another standard or he is subject to no standard."

  if god is the standard dy defining it, then what is not god, haveing defined all things
  
  god is singular and the word standard does not apply

  it works for me too. if god is; god is beyond our understanding and expereince. all men have an imperfect knowledge of him, so he will know this and understand, hay! maby he will apply our own standards towards us not his standadrds at all. how did jesus say we would be judged?

  about the spelling i am dyslexic. i thought you were looking for formal logic were the terminalogy is established first, why did you feel the need to put me down?
