  "persecution" gives the WTB&TS inc. an enemy to fight against. ( this will help any and all political groups) something tangable to fight agenst, fighting the old "light" is not as eazy. it will give them a scapegoat to explain the loss of there #"s. it will also feed nicely into there corporat sponsored complexs.

  the old "we must be right or why would we be sooooooo presecuted?"

  sometimes a slaves chains are invisible and stronger than steel.

  having had a week away from home, i'm astonished at the way some posters have started to behave.

  this site seems suddenly to be full of vitriol.. now i don't pretend to be every one's favourite pussy cat, and i will always be as outspoken as i choose to be, but i do not attack people personally, i only attack what they believe if i am convinced that their beliefs are anti-social or detrimental.

  i don't attack the person propagating that belief.

  3 Gods Equal 1 God?

  as i sat back thinking of some of the discussions i've had with witnesses over the years, one always stands out.

  the issue of the trinity teaching, whereby father(jehovah), son(jesus), and holy spirit when combined equal one god.

  a witness friend from work once said that it was an impossability, and was beyond human understanding.. i asked him what he thought we believed about the trinity, to which he responded with a math lesson.. 1 jehovah god + 1 jesus god + 1 holy spirit god = 3 gods, he went on to state that 1 + 1 + 1 can never equal 1 god, it always equals 3. to which i added a little math lesson i learned as a child.. 1 jehovah god x 1 jesus god x 1 holy spirit god can equal 1 almighty god.

  math is an abstract model of what exeists in the physical plain of reality. what is .9999999999999 of anything. of what? .999999999 does not exeist with out the other part that makes it hole. it is a game we play to help us think about part of a whole. it is not the whole. it is not a part of the whole. it is a model. from it we can build nothing. we can think of nothing. with out the other part.

  how does that answer the trinity? is your god only part god? like maby .999999999........ no this answers nothing

  Follow up question, is the physical universe finite or infinite?

  if that is the only 2 options, then the answer must be yes the universe is finite or infinitite. but if that is all we can think of that doesn't mean that thay are the only 2 possible answers.

  my world is finite, my solar system is finite, every thing i have ever experienced is finite. do you think the nature of the universe changes outside of our solar system. or are you asking if there is space outside of matter, beyond matter? no, space is a measurement of distance between matter. no matter, no space, no time, no energy. no existance we are able to understand.

  i noticed a lot of people speak of proof, my dad told me i can't prove the trinity. then he smuggly said why should i believe if you can't prove it? (i think the WTB&TS inc. uses this as one of it's control methods) i told him i could and would. but first he must prove he is sitting here talking to me. he could not. nothing can be proven. nothing. i can't prove the trinity but you can't prove you are reading this. or that you even exist. the WTB&TS has put a wall in front of the R&F JW's thay tell them to demmand proof, but ofcourse thay give them slogans and confusing calculations that are based on nothing at all, this is not proof. THIS IS NOT PROOF. i say get rid of the anti-bible get 4,5 or 6 different translations of the NT and read them like "books" from begining to end, not all cut up and out of context. you will see what you see. i think in the end you will understand for your self what you are ready to understand.

  well said, not the acual seeing and hearing of a man, but the workings of the holy spirit can and do live in and gide us if we are in need.

  but that is hard to accept by someone who has been under the heavy hamd of the WTB&TS inc. it is also easy to reject with a quick slam or name calling.

  Oh and lets not forget the Catholics, yes them to, as they teach that Mary is the coreedeemer with Christ, which takes it from the biblical teaching of 3 united in 1 to 4 with Mary thrown in.

  robert, i never herd this, so i got my mothers catholic catechism book. i don't know were you got this idea. if a catholic that you know thinks that, well he can think what ever he wants, but it is not the teaching of the "church". is it a teaching of the WTB&TS inc. that the catholics throw in mary?

  jesus being the reedeemer does not make him a part of the trinity. it is jesus being the word that makes hin of the trinity.

  Celebrate with me today

  today, april 20th, is the fourth anniversary of a very special day in my life.. the anniversary of my rebirth.. this rebirth was not a religious experience, but it was something totally pure, amazing and healing.. it had nothing at all to do with the society, or rather, of freeing myself from it.

  it was however, a giant first step in that direction.. today is the fourth anniversary of the day i got letter that changed everything.

  the words on the pages were alive, and magical: they released me from my old life and for the first time.

  or something like that.. man has to die because he sinned, that's the price one has to pay.

  how about this thought for you to chew on,

  death in the OT was to be annilated, this could be the "death" that man was to suffer, it may be that it was not the end of the body at all, what is that it god, he need not have you end with your body.
  
  then in the NT "death" no longer has a hold of man, the christ opened the way to the father. man no longer ends with his bodies demise.

  if this was the case it would explain why man and animal, may have, the same end. the animal, being innocent, never suffered "death" (OT style) man no longer suffers "death" man now lives forever and never "dies"(OT style)
