Absolutely, Elsewhere. That's why, even if there were no pedophilia problem, etc., I STILL wouldn't consider going back to that religion.
I just posted about Luke 10:7, where Jesus commanded his apostles to NOT go door-to-door. We have been misled, to say the very least.
It boggles my mind that I read that scripture many times in 30 years and it never hit me that I was going against Jesus' instructions for the ministry. Talk about being brain-washed. Almost my whole life was based on a lie. It took my gut feelings of knowing that I just couldn't live the lie anymore to finally motivate me to walk away. And you know what? It's good to be free.

Listening to get the last word in and listening because you have fellow-feeling are two totally different things.
JWs claim to be foot-step followers of Christ. How did Jesus do it? Did he speel Bible verses and carry massive amounts of placeable literature when he was telling others about the Kingdom? And, if they really wanted to be like the first apostles (Luke 10:7), they would be more or less homeless, not bringing anything with them, staying and expecting a meal from the householder for their worthy work. This is the clincher: Jesus said, "Do not be transferring from house to house." I guess this is another example of new light.

hello.. after lurking around for some time decided to join.
i've been df for 32 years...and glad for it.. i'd pretty much laid the jw stuff to rest until last year when my older sister, after years of absence from my life, made comment to me about "struggling with the truth.
" i took it upon myself to begin some research and have been "hooked" on these type forums since.
