All right, I suck as a Santa. My apologies to my gift-gettter. I gotta go to the post office this week and mail it. (Yeah, I know, it was supposed to go out before Dec. 1.)
Wind, feeling kinda like a slouch.

besides giving up our time and assets,is there anything that you particularly felt that you truly "gave up" to become or remain a witness?
I gave up being around a guy that shared a lot of things in common with me, plus he gave his virginity to me. Even so, he called me after I got baptized and asked me out because it was my birthday. I thought that was extremely sweet, not only because he remembered my birthday but he wanted to see me again. It's amazing how quickly you can stifle a relationship by saying, "I can only date you if you have marriage in view." Hey, I wasn't about to tell him, "I can only date you if you become a jw."
what should i do with my books .
we are in the process of buying another house and are on the move again.
packing stuff up, chucking it out, selling the surplus you know the story.
Yeppers, good rolling paper, especially the NW Translation pages.
I chucked all the literature in the dumpster when I finally saw how very detrimental it had been in my life.
Hey, Donkey (excuse the pun), I'm glad that you were able to work it out with Snoozy. I am curious to know how you were able to convince her.
Take care,
Wind
.
my two favorites are a toss up between john lennon's "so this is christmas" and the "little drummer boy" - the one where bing crosby and david bowie are singing together.. love, scully
It's gotta be Good King Wenselslaus (sp?) and a close second favorite is What Child Is This? (Greensleeves tune)
Golden Girl said: Be a good boy and maybe Simon will let you stay and play!Gravedancer..aka..Donkey..aka ?
I posted this over at Beyond Jehovah's Witnesses, but in case you don't see it, here it is again:
Donkey, believe me when I say that I am very experienced in this sort of the thing. Snoozy (Golden Girl) likes to believe lies and is stubborn as hell, so I hope that you won't take her innuendos and winky faces too seriously. She enjoys trying to make people she doesn't like feel and look bad and, if she thinks you are Dragon, she won't let up.
BB is more rational and I'm sure as time goes by, he will see that you aren't Dragon.
I don't know who else is accusing you of being someone you are not, but Snoozy is the only one who has given me this problem.

wih the permission of simon, i would like to start a thread to act as a collection of thought, quotes and miscellany on atheism and agnosticism.
there are so many other threads on this subject but no one place which one can go to on here.
i have much to share - enjoy and contribute with me please.give me the storm and stress of thought and action rather than the dead calm of ignorance and faith.
Then he said to the tree, "May no one ever eat fruit from you again." ...
Jesus talked to trees. Yeah, like I'm really gonna follow this guy. I wish that the fig tree had talked back and told Jesus that he was being vindictive and acting like a spoiled brat. Why didn't Jesus just do a miracle and zap up a fig or allow the tree to bear fruit out of season? Why destroy something that he helped his Father create? Why so negative?
What lesson could possibly be learned here? What if Jesus had wanted to eat a meal at a poor man's house and the man had no food. Would he render the man impotent and give him a disability so he could never work again?
I hope true believers have an answer to this one, and it better be good.

Well, that's it for me. That new light on the fig tree episode did it. I'm gonna be an atheist.
and ive decided to ask the ladies why you seem to love the nasty men.
i have fallen in love with a nice girl who i thought liked me back.
it seems she only likes evil men and im not the right guy im " a good friend" i feel lost and cant understand your crazy sex.. i really thought this was it, now im somewhere in limbo.
Aw, Josephus, sorry that you got dumped for being a good guy. I don't know why some of us women love bad guys so much. I've always blamed it on mental illness. haha
But, if ya get kicked in the head and heart enough, you start thinking, Maybe a nice guy wooould be a refreshing change. Give her time, she may come around.
If not, maybe you gotta start looking for a girl who isn't looking for a bad guy.
Welcome back, Gravey!!! I agree, you've got a nice ass there.
