  had some problems with the heater going out and then the electricity had a bit of an outage problem and had to call pg&e was told it could be a wait and then christmas came early for us!

  the wonderful pg&e guy showed up soon after the call in to them, and he fixed the problems!

  What Did You Hate About The Circuit OV.'s Visit?

  i think that there a number of things about the circuit overseer's visit that stinks!

  one thing that i hated was how all the elders got together to "shepherd" the flock right before the co's visit.....what bothered you about the week long visit??

  Minimus, I am oddly attracted to yet another one of your questions. When are you going to let me make you a dish cloth?

  I hated the way the meetings switched around and the Thursday night meeting became extra long because we had to endure a half-hour talk by the CO at the end of the regular meeting. But what I hated the most was when this one particular ass-wipe came to our hall. This guy talked, looked and acted like Don Rickles gone militant. I could have taken that, but what hurt our family was when he made us change halls. We were living a few feet outside our territory and we obeyed. The elders had been very good to us (which had been a rarity until then). My son was very sick and we had to leave all the people who knew and loved him and, dammit, us! It sucked.

  I didn't have much college, but I landed a pretty good job working in pr at a community college. Granted, I am clerical, but when I tell people that I work for a college, they tend to look a little more impressed than when I tell them my second job is cashier at a gas station.

  The point that I'm trying to make is that my impressive job wasn't paying the bills. I was just getting by. My demeaning job as cashier has gotten me the money I need to live a better life and I actually like doing it!

  Honest, hard work is a good thing. I firmly believe that making a living where you don't have to depend on others is one of the happinesses of life. No matter how 'demeaning' a job may seem, the good feeling you get when you are able to take care of yourself is up there with a night of great sex.

  okay, so i didn't want you all to think that i'm an ignorant slut, so i didn't share this with you, but a few weeks ago i took a very, very hard test (the final phase of my senior clerical assistant application at the college district where i work).

  i aced the english section, finished it way before the alloted time was up.
