  Watchtower's Dangerous Game

  hardly a week passes without some story of a witness who is suddenly.

  enlightened as to the real nature of the organization.

  happens to an old-timer, it's very sad.

  We all can plainly see that this is a possiblity, but I`m sure the publishing co. doesn`t have a clue, or doesn`t care. Not everyone will turn their destruction towards self like the young man that jumped from the Brooklyn highrise to his death.

  JWs come from all walks of life, not all have the same thought processes. When push comes to shove people will react differently. The puplishing co. should be careful who they piss off. They are being warned. Anything that might happen, they have brought upon themselves. Just like everything that is happening now is of their own creation.

  the more meetings you go to the more drivel you hear.

  elder's meetings were terrible because all you ever did was gossip about how everyone wasn't doing this or that.

  meetings for field service sucked.....enough said on that.

  In the begining I liked the bookstudy because it was so informal and you could get to know some of the brothers personaly. Eventually that changed, for one nobody in our area wanted the bookstudy in their home. (not even the elder in our area) So it ended up being in our home.

  And oh, one of the brothers in our bookstudy was trying to get to know me a little more personaly when my husband was not home. When I forced my ex to make him stop coming around like that,. well all hell broke loose. My ex asked me why did I ever have to make such a big deal about it. Yeah, how terrible of me.

  Grieving

  it's been about two weeks since i came here.

  i've been having a lot of depression and nightmares concerning my family and the jws.

  ghastly visions of bloody mayhem and mutilation, not only of me, but also my husband and my little dog.

  Believe it or not, I have been out or the org for over 12 years now and only found out about all the lies and cover-ups about two months ago. It is truly overwhelming. Even after all that time I did not want to believe that the WTBTS was capable of such lies. One small phone call to the UN comfirmed everything for me. It was the same as catching a cheating husband in the act. You just can`t deny it when you have proof.

  I started having flashbacks of almost everyone that I ever knew as a jw. You know the saying "your life passes before your eyes". That`s what it felt like to me.

  Everyone has good ideas, do be kind to yourself. Something that helped me after my dsfs was taking long walks, sometimes brisk, sometimes just to be lazy and try and take in all the surroundings. If you need to be alone,. find some time for yourself, and be selfish about it. You deserve some joy in your life. Whatever makes YOU happy find a way to do it.

  Your going to make it, you have to. We`ll be here for you.

  Were you df'd while suffering depression???

  i have a son who was disfellowshipped while suffering serious depression and who was not actively "sinning".. i feel this is outrageous and want to know how widespread the practice is.

  please tell me what your experiences are, i am interested and want to try to get the brothers to factor this in, so we can stop losing people to depression.

  In the last months of my marriage, I now realize that I was in a depressed state. That is probably why my dsfsping hit me so hard. I am sure that I was being pushed to the edge. I needed help and was asking for it. (from my ex)

  Once I was dsfsd the depression was still there but my thoughts were not as destructive. Still it was pretty rough.

  has anyone heard anything about the latest km?

  my uncle (on the fringes) told me the newest km said that even non-df'd folks are to be treated as disfellowshipped, if they had been inactive for a long time.

  since i haven't seen a km myself, i wondered if this was true?

  Wait for the faithful and discreet slave? Why is the faithful and discreet slave making anyone wait? Do they have to think about it, confer, figure out the correct response. Wait?

  I looked for the scripture (could not find it), that was usualy used to when we were trying to explain to someone the reason Jehovah did not approve of sending our young men to fight in the wars, and to be a part of the military in general. Because it would be the same as sacrificing them to Satan and world..............Do not be sacrificing your offspring by making them pass through the fire.Or to make them become accountable for thier fathers sins. All I remember is that it is in the Greek.

  So for the faithless and secret slave why aren`t you being faithful to the God that you claim to serve and are speaking for?

  Needless to say you faithless and secret slave class, you will answer to the laws of the land.

  Hey Kat, I thought men did not mind having us on the top "spot". wink, wink.

  And it was never my intention to make any of the men feel inferior. If I had my pickins I would choose the sweaty guy, as long as he doesn`t try to drink too much of my beer that is.

  Okay, I`ve gotten as vulgar as the law (Simon) allows. (May even be pushing it)

  I have been under the misconception that men are of the rugged and tough variety. In the past decade I have come to a different conclusion. So does anyone really know why men are so sensitive?

  Why beer is better than men:

  Beer does not care if you are on time.

  Beer is not bothered by your PMS

  Your beer won`t leave clothes all over house.

  A beer won`t ask you if you have children.

  A beer won`t have any children.

  A beer won`t force you to lie by asking you if it was good for you.

  You`re beer will not require foreplay, it is ready.

  A beer will not unexpectantly come.

  The more beer you drink the better looking men become to you, hence, "can I buy you a drink?"

  And the best of all, when the beer is gone, the bottle is still hard.
