I say leave it the way it is. Deep posts should go under bible beliefs and those other forums anyway. The main forum should be for whatever. Why is everyone so worried about the fluff...I do not get the problem here...

ugh!.
he hasn't shown an interest in witness things for several months until a cousin from up north came to visit and took him out in service all day.

That has to be a hard situation. I think you were right in saying you would let him go to meetings. You have to let him see for himself the corruption in the organization. You could guide him in this and tell him things you have learned, but ultimately he has to make that decision. How old is your son? I mean if he is a teen, he could just be wanting to fit in with his cousins. Encourage him to have friends at school, so he has other places to fit in. I wish you luck. I am sure you are in a tough situation.

however, my brother, even though he never was, and only 14 years old, stills clings to the borg.
or so i thought.. you see, only recently we went to a restaurant, and while me, my brother and 13 year old cousin were eating some good grub, our discussions fell upon *gasp* the jw's.

Last night I had the most bizare dream. I had a dream that I was going to the KH with my mom. Which is crazy in two ways, one I would not go to KH and secondly I never see my mom. Well it was like most the people that went there before went there still, but no one had aged or changed in the 5 years I had been gone. We got there at the end of the public talk, and all the chairs were turned facing the literature counter instead of the stage. The WT study conductor asked the questions from the lit counter. And some random guy kept passing around cans to get donations for charities. It was so weird. There was no closing song, everyone just got up during the reading of the last paragraph and left...Very odd....This is really the first time I have dreamed about the KH in prolly 4 years...

by Xena inwith the 4th anniversary of my parents death looming and the anniversary of their last wedding anniversary party where my family was together and happy for the last time just being past ....i was feeling kind of depressed and wanted to reach out to what family i have left.
i sat there and debated in my mind if i should do it...should i try and reach out to my sister..see if i could reach her across the barrier of the jw religion.
should i try to remind her that we are sisters...we were sisters before we became jws and we will always be sisters.

Pagan or not pagan, that is my question.
by libra_spirit ini have been trying to figure out whether or not i am a pagan.. i looked in several dictionaries and now i'm really confused.. one says a pagan is one who has more then one god, another says that all religions that predate all existing religions are pagan.
christians say everything except christianity is pagan.
i'm beginning to wonder just what the word actually means, if anything.. christians use the word with distane, others seem to rejoice in using the word to describe themselves.

I have never heard that a belief in polytheism made you pagan, but I could be wrong. I have no idea what the real definition is. I think paganism is just another religion like everything else...
