update.....

hi there everyone...i just had a very deep conversation with my gf.

it was very intense, but it changed somethings about how i was feeling.... she was being very negative, and so i confronted her on it.

she got mad at first, but we talked about a lot of issues that she has.

Ok I know someone out there has some advice for me....common people I really would like a few opinions here....

i was talking on the phone about a week ago with a poster from this forum, and when he found out i was from south bend, indiana, he asked me if i had gotten together with the group of indiana posters that were having a small gathering (around bloomington i think?).

the truth is, i havent had one-on-one contact with too many from this board up till now, save some frequent chat room visitors, so i didnt realize we had an indiana following.

after my name appeared on the whos who page, i did get emails from a couple people familiar with the area, but i would like to get in contact with the rest of the indiana posters.

She was being very negative, and so I confronted her on it. She got mad at first, but we talked about a lot of issues that she has. I was glad to be able to help her, but I felt like I was being sucked into that emotional trap again. I was not sure how I was going to get out of it. So I just told her strainght up, I am scarred of our relationship and where it is going. I am scarred to fall into the codependency thing and that is why I push you away at times. It went well. I think she understood me, and I think I was able to do it with tact. I think I want to keep trying at this. Now that it is out in the open and she knows where I am coming from and I understand her emotions, I think I know myself to know if I am getting sucked into it, I have gained a lot of insight into myself in the last year...

What do you all think?

I think they are trying to feed off the event and get people into the org. I also heard at the time of the bombing, they only let witnesses in and that they were on lock down and were not providing refugee....

have you looked at the site in-depth, especially the funding resources section?.

what assistance in direct community led activity in assistance of others, their enabling, would you like to see ideally take place?.

Celt...I do not know exactly what you are asking here, but I work for an information and referral network, called helpline and we help refer clients to community resources that can assist them in anyway. We are funded by several community action centers and so are the places we send them. We help people with things from rent, shelter, bills, to suicide, and domestic violence.

keep in mind that all the players are in their prime and consider how these would play as a unit as much as their career stats.

here are some interesting comments i found on a jw site today.

hello everyone.i just joined this group today and just wanted to introduce myself.my name is ---------------and i live in-------------i am a member of -------------congregation.i was born into the truth and married a brother from -------------.we have been married 8 years come may and have two beautiful boys ages 6 and 3.our 6 year old has asbergers syndrome-a high functioning form of autism.meetings are really hard for him and us.i suffer from schizotypal personality disorder -similar to schizophrenia.most of the time i cannot go to meetings because i cannot handle being around all those people.i came here hoping to have some fellowship and encouragement in these times of the last days are closely upon us.

It is sad that all these people think they are bad because of something they cannot control, and they feel guilty for not making meetings. A child with aspergers syndrome could never attend to a 2 hour meeting. A person with schizotypal personality disorder is very difficult to deal with. They do not have the same delusions as schizophrenia, but they are related. It is more of a thinking pattern with SPD. Still, it is awful she feels guilty for not making it to meetings. My mom use to feel bad because of her borderline, but no one cared on the cong. Geez....

wow...i am floored...it has been damn good to read some of the posts..i never thought there were so many people with the same prob's.

been df'd for a few years and still have an elder dad and a very devout mom who constantly make me feel like i am a "stain" if not for my "worldly" wife i dont think i wud be here to make this post...

did michael and his dad get disciplined for mikey singing "santa claus is comin to town" that i just heard on the radio?.

I may get crucified for this one, but I still do not really have a problem with MJ. Yeah his skin has changed, but he does have a disease, it is real. You cannot have surgery to change the pigment of your skin, but there is a disease where your body attacks the melanoma and you skin gets lighter. That explains the makeup he uses to cover the blotches created by the disease. In his book of poems, he released pics of him without the makeup...very blotchy. Yeah the guy may do some creepy things and he may be obessessed with his appearance, but he can move and sing better than most people...

just nice to know that i'm not alone.

i'm truly amazed and had no idea unitil yesterday surfing on a whim i decided to confront my past.

it's a blessing for me and i feel another turning point in my life because now i have lots of people to talk to and i know now that i wasn't and i'm not going crazy and that it's not just me.
