Feeling desperate................
by nicolaou inplease listen.
im not the first to go through this, i wont be the last.. i was raised in the truth as a result of my mum starting a study when i was 4 years old.
that was in 1968. the hysteria of a 1975/armageddon was just beginning to take root and the sister who studied with my mum was 100% sure of it.

I think we are all intelligent enough to have figured out that it isn't "real" serenja...it appears to me (and I could be wrong) to be a tongue in cheek type joke...where they most likely believe a major portion of this...but joke about it so as not to appear to be patting themselves on the back.
Jem and his relationship with this elder AND his reasons for staying in the JW org appear to me to be HIS business...
As for me and my household...we enjoyed the post Jem

JW Youth- Harshest Rules Ever
by metatron inwitness parents wring their hands, cry in their pillows and mumble.
remarks about satan's influence "in these last days.".
they are told that the world is getting worse and worse.. they are told that temptations are no different than they've ever been.. wrong!

I think everyone on here will agree that teenagers having sex isn't a great idea, but as metatron pointed out it IS the reality of life! They can and do have sex so wouldn't it be better to inform them and equip them for it?
When I was a JW I told my 19 year old niece that it would be better for her to wait till she was married (I have since changed my viewpoint on this to say the least..but that is for a different thread) BUT if she couldn't wait to MAKE SURE AND USE BIRTHCONTROL. She didn't listen to me..to use birthcontrol will be premeditated sex..a d/f offence to say the least.
The outcome? She got pregnant by a "brother"...ended up married at 19 with a child and a husband she doesn't really love (hoping he will cheat on her so she can get a divorce)...plans to further her education have been dropped....BUT the GOOD NEWS is she didn't get d/f! [8&>]<------this is supposed to be the face with the rolling eyes..where did I go wrong??? lol
My daughter WILL be educated regarding sex!

Sputter..sputter..now that I am done coughing and choking..give me a break!
Right man will uphold firm views on every topic, but is careful not to upset people who disagree
lol no you don't upset them you just d/f them and shun them FOREVER!
Applicant's wife must be both stunning and plain; smartly attired but conservative in appearance;
gracious and able to get along with everyone. Must be willing to work in kitchen, possess tact,
baby-sit, wait tables, never listen to gossip, never become discouraged.hhhhhmmm NOW I understand why my husband never made elder...lol he had ME for wife!
Eagerly follow guidance from the governing body, even though may not know them personally, but knowing that they are correct.

Some Light Humor
by AlanF inmy wife sent me this little ditty that has been making the rounds:.
if men wrote cosmopolitan.... q: my husband wants to experience three-in-a-bed-sex with me and my sister.. a: your husband is clearly devoted to you.
he cannot get enough of you, so he goes for the next best thing: your sister.

Two sex questions
by Seeker4 inok, have had enough to drink tonight so i will toss these two questions out.
will discuss this a bit more tomorrow.. 1. how many of you had sex outside of your marriage after leaving the witnesses?
provide whatever details about how and why that you're comfortable with.. 2. funny question: had a friend write me today that probably more jws per capita enjoyed oral sex the night they read it was a "conscience matter" than any other group in the us.

I think I somewhat understand where you are coming from seeker. When we (my husband and I) were JW's we never questioned why we were together...we just were...divorce or seperation was never an issue. If you were a good JW you stayed together no matter what! Now that we are no longer JW's we are looking at our marriage in a different light..we no longer HAVE to stay together...we have options we didn't have before. If we choose to stay with each other it is because we WANT to now.
I believe the open marriage is a way for us to stay together while enjoying and discovering other people. Like most of the people on here that were raised JW we didn't have much of an opportunity to date (ok well I dated, but hubby didn't) and interact with other people...I personally feel like if he meets someone else and leaves me for her...well it will hurt of course, but if he wasn't happy with me then it wasn't right anyway...I don't want to be with someone who feels like they are "stuck" with me...I want them to be with me because they WANT to be with me...after they have seen everything there is to offer..they still want me in the end...that is to me a true marriage.

i do not yet have all the relevant detail but i'll pass on what i do have at present.

What the heck I just posted my favorite sexual position..why not reply to this one too???
1. Yes..come on I have an open marriage...what would be the point of that if I didn't have sex outside of it??
2. No...oral sex didn't get good till I was out of the JW mindset..did it a few times while I was in but felt guilty about it...NOW..uuummm it's a whole different story!
