  i think i've spent more time here over the past three years than i did during the last three years i attended the kh.

  i've been up and down quite a bit since leaving the cult, cults attract people who are emotional cripples and i am no exception, and the cult only makes you worse.

  Talking to People like you is like banging ones Head against a brick wall!You will respond with facts ,figures etc until eventually it is impossible to even remember what it was we were talking about

  FreeWilly stated that the crime rate in the US has been falling in the last 20 years, whereas the UK's has skyrocketed. You stated that was "utterly ridiculous." Heaven forbid someone would actually bring facts and figures to a debate instead of rhetoric and sound bites. As far as your ability to concentrate on the topic at hand in the presence of facts and figures, I can't help you there.

  fleaman- are you saying that the fact that the UK's crime rate has skyrocketed is ridiculous, as in- something awful which needs to be addressed or are you questioning the veracity of the facts

  i am questioning the veracity of the facts.I agree crime is bad in the Uk,but if you look closely at any "facts"you will see that murder,rape and any awful crimes against Person are not likely to happen to the average citizen.Even Gun crime (which ,yes is on the increase in isolated areas)mostly affects the minorities.Unfortunately,Black males are the biggest offenders it would seem.They are also the likeliest Victims.Though of course the innocent suffer.sadly a case a few years ago was concluded this week on that very theme in Birmingham.

  You don't believe the bbc? The research that has been done about the crime rate increases since your ban on guns? All it did was put more guns in the hands of criminals and the general populace cannot protect themselves. Murder, rape and any awful crimes agains person "are not likely to happen to the average citizen"? really? Minorities are not citizens in your country? They happen to make up a large portion of the crime statistics here yet you want to take them out of the statistics there to water it all down? As far as your crime coming remotely close to serious crime in the U.S. I don't think I said that or even suggested it. It also has a great deal to do with numbers.   It's now illegal to own a hand gun in the UK and whilst we still have gun related crime within the criminal elements of society, we don't have pissed off teenagers being able to massacre their classes at school because they cannot get hold of guns.

  SLH- If someone wants to kill others they will find a way to do it. If they don't have access to guns they will use other methods.

  This didn't happen because of guns. It happened because of an extremely troubled boy and no one addressing that and getting him the help he needed.

  By the way, The US crime rate has been falling over the past 20 years, while the UK's has skyrocketed. Odd isn't it?

  Me? Ireland. I'm working on dual citizenship and once I have it I can work anywhere an Irish citizen is able to in Europe. I might just do some exploring once I know my daughter has her wings. For a side trip for a little while- Curacao or Bonaire. Can't work there but I can hang out and enjoy it for a while.

  i just wanted to introduce to you our new dog.

  he's a 5 year old sheltie named samba.

  we adopted him from a family who had to give him up due to allergies, it broke their heart to part with him as they had put a lot of love and care into him.
