  What is your favorite Broadway show?

  i have never seen a broadway show in person, but i have it on my to do list before i die..... of course there are some local shows that are being done that i want to take my children to see.

  i think it will be alot of fun, especially for my daughter who adores the musical,,,,,,,cats.........we rented the video of the musical cats,and i have watched most of it.

  as a jw i never pursued my interest in the arts, and i let that part of me die.

  Wife and I went to see that " new show" playing on Broadway right now.........I can't remember the name of it..........you know the one where this couple travels to New York for a weekend away, to see a Broadway play, but the musicians are on strike, so all shows are cancelled....What's the name of that one ?

  Kidding. Actually have seen only 1 live show of Broadway caliber, and that was the "Phantom" at Pantages in Toronto. Had primo seats, 5 rows from the front. Actually got my hair singed I think. Incredible performance. Funny thing too, fellow sitting to my right was a big strong strapping guy, and when the chandelier came crashing down, this fellow was so startled, he actally screamed and almost ended up in my lap ! LOL

  I went to the Assembly....

  i was at home and a man came to the door...i knew immediately he was a jw brother, however, he was quite handsome (no offense) and very well built.

  he looked like a cross between brad pitt/tom cruise/evan marriott.... he wore a very nice dark gray suit that formed perfectly to his sculpted muscles...he had a very nice book bag.

  black, brushed silver hardware.

  Ummmhh. Let's see here. Was this a nightmare about attending an assembly......or a fantasy about that cross between Brad Pitt/Tom Cruise/Evan Marriott.... brother ???

  Did you share this with hubby yet.

  And shame on that putty tat....they're demonized BTW.

  And who is Evan Marriott ? Sounds like a hotel brand of bottled water !

  today is my daughters birthday.for the second time i'm giving her something for it.

  i told her how special she was to me and gave her a crisp 100 dollar bill.

  the look on her 11 year old face was priceless.

  he works on a farm in deepest, darkest somerset, and he loves it.. you see, benny absolutely adores agricultural tractors.

  on the farm where he works he gets plenty of opportunities to drive them too.

  What's The Worst Pressure You Endured Because You Were A JW?

  was it internal or external?

  i know of some that pioneered because they felt they had to.

  we know of many that felt awful because they were ridiculed because they were witness children and had to get baptized and face school pressure, all the while hating it.

  Hey Minimus. Must have been a lot of satisfaction giving that talk "Do you harbor resentment or do you forgive?" . But of course you don't harbor any resentment do ya ?!

  The worst pressure I felt was in grade school K-8. I attended 5 different schools in 9 years, and every time I moved to a new school, it was mid term, so not only did I have to endure, the start of the new school year, and explain to the teacher that I was a JW and I would not be participating in the opening exercises, holidays etc., I occasionally had to go through that twice in a year.

  It made me physically sick, and Mom knew that, and many times in the younger grades she would accompany me to school, and explain it to the teachers and principal. ( Love ya Mom ). But when I got into the senior years, I was expected to do it myself. And to top it off for most of those 9 years there were not any other jws in my school, let alone my classroom, so I was treated like a freak !

  But you know what they say....Will it make any difference 5 years from now...10 years...15 years...yeah I made it..I'm OK now...I think.
