i was reading an article written by someone about there daughter today and after reading some of the replies made to this man, i found myself completly shocked at the exspressions of some people.
exspecially those "so called christians".
so i decided to write down a famous accurance from the bible.

i'm 45 years old going to college for a degree in marketing so i can find a decent job.
i made two a's last semester.
i'm only taking 2 classes at a time because of my nerves.. every day is a battle with my nerves.
I need some faith and hope.

mine is "move ahead" i think that was the title, anyway it has so much rhetoric... but the tune is so darn catchy.... darn.... in my opinion, those songs are the perfect example of mind control.

i was curious as to who has made plans for the victoria day long weekend, and what you are doing ?
cj and i are hitching up the trailer, and going to one our favourite camping spots, on the pennisula of lake superior, known as sleeping giant provincial park.
We Canadians get a jump on the first long weekend of the season, over our American neighbours, who have to wait another week before the Memorial Day weekend ( see there it is again, that term "American").
I was curious as to who has made plans for the Victoria Day long weekend, and what you are doing ?
CJ and I are hitching up the trailer, and going to one our favourite camping spots, on the pennisula of Lake Superior, known as Sleeping Giant Provincial Park.
It will be the first of many camping trips this year, and we are sooo looking forward to it.
We are going out with 2 other couples ( friends we made after we left the borg ) and looking forward to some hiking, mountain biking, grilling meals on the barbecue, wine and beer, and a big roaring fire afterwards. Sometimes at this time of year, you can still see a display of the Northern Lights.which is a way better fireworks display, than anything we could do IMHO.
Hopefully the bears will leave us alone this year ! LOL
So what are the rest of you doing, for either the Victoria Day weekend or the Memorial Day weekend.
P.S. Take pictures and we can start a Picture thread when we all get back.
P.P.S. Do the Brits (what the hell is Spring Bank Holiday ? ) and Aussies, or other Commonwealth countries celebrate Queen Victoria's Birthday ?

Freedom. Sounds like you did all the hard work yourself, before you arrived here. Situation similar to myself. If I had found this site earlier, with the stories from other posters, and then links to other sites, it would have made my exit a lot easier.
But the important thing is you and Sharon are here now. It kind of took my breath away, when I first arrived, to realize what a worldwide group, we have here, with similar stories to share. So refreshing and exhilarating at the same time. A rebirth I like to refer to it as.

if you were in a situation where you were the manager for a company with two branches, and you were told that you could be promoted to a better office, improved salary etc by becoming regional manager, but only if most of the people in your branch lost their jobs and the rest were incorporated into the other branch, would you take the promotion?.
that's an interesting moral puzzler, isn't it?.
so, is it the money or your employees?.
I'd quit to become a regular pioneer.
I hear the pay isn't that good, but job security is, especially if you are willing to move where the people are more gulliable.
