tuesday 27th may 2003 at 12.30 am, i misscarried my first baby.
i was 9 weeks pregnant.
Kelpie and Rick. I am sure the outpouring of love and concern here will help somewhat at this time.
Thank you for sharing your emotions with us. I was encouraged to hear of the support from your mother. This could be the opening to aid in the repair of your relationship with her.

SheilaM. We did do a lot of research before we got Jake, the TOTO look-alike. They seemed to be one of the more stable purebreads, when comparing things like health problems, etc.
Of course being a Carin, the first thing he started to do was dig, then he would dig, then he would dig more. We finally managed to train him, not to do it in our yard, but he came to understand, it was OK while out camping, I just had to fill in all the holes.
We made a mistake with him, though, and I'll post this in the hope of warning others. Because he was a purebred, and we were not concerned about "his papers" we agreed to have him fixed. THAT was a mistake. After the operation, he seemed to lose a bit of his personality, AND he developed a skin condition, where he flakes and loses tufts of hair, due to his rubbing and scratching.
We pretty well have it under control, (special diet) but he has to be bathed more than should be required, and he has become what you would call a "high maintenance" dog.
But I love him, and he's our youngest daughters pet, so were stuck with him, BUT CJ, on the other hand.........................

i was a jw never baptized though for 12 years until my aunt was d'fed and my mother said she would not stop talking to her sister.
so she has disassociated herself at the smae time that is now going on 12 years ago.

she's not sensitive about her age, so i can tell you that this is indeed a big one.

my cat lives inside, and once in a while i bring her outside.
i bring her outside to walk and get exercise, but no she sits there and eats grass.
that's all she does is eat grass.. then she comes back inside and a few hours after she throws up the grass she ate.
I've never seen Jake our Cairn Terrier eat grass, but Lady our German Shepherd does eat grass. and I've caught her eyeing up Jake a few times, contemplating eating him !
And if our neighbour's cat ever decides to leap the fence into our backyard, Lady would lose her interest in grass very quickly !

That picture could have been a lot nastier....I think.
I occasionally lend my pager, but more often my cell phone to my kids, so I can contact them if need be.
2 years ago while camping, ( yes jourles....roughing it ) my youngest daughter was on the dock, and a boy pushed her into the lake. She got out right away, but remembered, she had my cell phone in her pocket.
So as I have drilled into all my kids, if you have an electronic device, and it gets wet, "get the batteries the hell out of it".
She came out of the lake, pulled the phone from her pocket, removed the battery, and walked back to our campsite, and told me the teary story.......she was literally crying her eyes out, because she thought she had ruined the phone.
I took the phone, opened it up, dried the circuits board off, let it sit for a few days, to make sure all the moisture was gone, and LO and BEHOLD, I put it back together, and it works fine to this day, 2 years later.
Moral of the Story if you have an electronic device, and it gets wet, "get the batteries the hell out of it".

we are crossing the border by car at 4am -ish (est) early monday morning and fly at 7a.m....i'm hoping 4am will not be a busy border time that early on your holiday...we arrive in vegas around 8:10a.m vegas time .

Didn't know you were a fellow Canuck. Sounds like a great trip you have lined up. Haven't been to Vegas as yet, so no suggestions there, but have a great time and fill us in ( with pics ) when you get back.

I think there are millions of good people left in the org. They just haven't realized it yet.
But as for the mature wise ones...........those who have a yearning for knowledge, those who have that true passion for truth and understanding, and never keeping asking questions.........they have either left or are dead.
I really do not see the new and up and coming within the jws having the same zeal and passion as the previous generations. To them it's just a religion.

i have access to 2 computers on a regular basis.
i usually post from work, but i occasionally post from home (now).. by far and away, most of my posts are from work (when time permits), but i occasionally post from home, when i find the pc is not being used by cj or the kids.. do any of you use public access pcs, such as librarys, or internet cafes etc, or is most of your input from home or work ?.

LOL at Wildhorses. Our home PC is on a hutch in the dining room, and when CJ and the kids are watching TV, I'm forever getting out of the the chair and running to the living room, to see what's going on. It's made for some pretty disjointed posts.
