  This photo woke me up

  i was already on my way to my second fade when i went to the wildlife photographer of the year 2012 exhibition, but this photo made me lose faith in the idea of a loving creator......(the gazelle has been injured by the mother cheetah so she can use it to train her cubs to hunt).

  I think my fade has hit a rut. Do I need to grow a pair?

  so here i am after about 18 months of wake up.

  the first 6 months were a rollercoster of feelings as my whole belief system unravelled.

  the last year has been more stable but things seem like they are just stalling now.. my wife is aware of many of my feelings although i have held back the fact that i am pretty close to denying all belief in any kind of god.

  I feel ya.

  Former pioneer/elder here. My wife and I both have 20 years of full time service.

  I resigned as an elder in 2012, been a weak publisher ever since. I plan to convince my wife to move to another congregation.

  The plan is to drop field service and do Sundays only. We make all of the meetings right now, and do FS every other Saturday. I'm commenting once per WT study, I said some stuff I shouldn't have to the elders when I first lost belief, I'm now doing damage control to keep from being dfd as apostate.

  We can't be honest right now, but someday, someday soon, we will be able to be brazenly honest, with impunity!

  in the interests of being fair, i feel i have to point out this facebook page.

  after one minute of reading, i located at least one lie regarding the tyt or young turks presenter cenk.

  they said he was an atheist so i pointed out that this is not correct as he self identifies as an agnostic.

  Hubby went out in service today.

  i can't believe hubby and sis in law actually went out in service today.

  when he left this morrning i reminded him to inform those who didn't slam their doors on them that if they join your cult that this will be the last christmas, holiday and birthday they will be allowed to celebrate.

  i thought it very inapproiate going out today to knock on doors trying to get converts..

  i've been out the organisation for around 8 years.

  when i first left, im positive that i suffered from some sort of post traumatic stress.

  i was very angry at myself for accepting the really bad parts of the religion that i strongly disagreed with.

  1. Which Bible canon do you think is correct? Protestant? Catholic? or Orthodox? if you prefer one over the other, why?

  2. Do you accept the Johaninne comma at 1 John 5:7 as inspired of God? if yes why? if no why?

  Is ingratitude and education inversely proportionate?

  bible describes ingratitude as one of the characteristics of last days.

  people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money ....ungrateful.... etc.

  (2 timothy 3:2) it seems this prophecy about people becoming ungrateful is having its fulfillment more than 100%.. i was watching an interview on the tv the other day.
