  Flying Scotsman Visits My Town

  the iconic steam engine the flying scotsman has been restored and is back on tour along the east coast main line between london and edinburgh.

  this evening it crossed the royal border bridge in berwick-on-tweed for the first time since it was put out of service in january 1963.. here are few shots.. .

  Just saw Perry's post on "fine tuning". Worst argument ever?

  Using the words "fine tuning" is misleading loaded language.

  If the cosmological constants have tight tolerances (what is actually being described), so what?

  Tight tolerances are proof that tight tolerances exist. NOTHING ELSE. Is Perry a real Christian or a troll?

  Hey Cofty, I know the last mass extinction shows to be caused by an asteroid off the Yucatan peninsula. It would be nice to see the causes listed in the BBC summary.

  it's a good read how people are automatic victims to mary kay cosmetics -- makes perfect sense.

  first off i do believe there are some evidences of evolution or i should probably say adaptation.

  i do believe this exists in various forms.. however the deal breaker for me with evolution is the chick or egg problem.

  there are tons of theories that get passed around as proof of evolution however these are usually examples much further down the evolutionary chain.. what i mean is let's start at the beginning!

  Let me illustrate it this way: "There's two scoops of raisins in every box of Kellogg's raisin bran."

  The Governing Body need the "generation of 1914" to still be alive. So ... they put their heads together and by means of having an old fart Fred Franz's life overlap with some young wines sippers, booyah, it's still ALIVE!

  The hybrid generation of 1914, using Franz as the basis for it, makes that generation 122 years old now.
