This thread is for proof that God exists
by juandefiero inhowever, i haven't found any evidence to support that belief.. have you?
if so please, show me the evidence that god exists, and i will believe along with you.. criteria:.
(1) you must specify which god you are talking about;.

Logically, every religion can't be right, but all them can be wrong. -

Do you still believe in God?
by FormerlySandL ini never thought i would admit it, but i don't.
i might superstitiously have some kind of doubt but digging a bit deeper in my heart i really don't believe in god.
as a human i could never just sit and watch people be tortured, live years of abuse, suffer from illness and disabilities and all the other awful things people have to endure day after day without doing something about it.

Acts5v29
Have you ever wondered why human prototypes always give assertions from talking snakes merit?
Have you ever wondered if "independence" in the spirit world causes angels to cannibalized by each other or raped by each other or accidental death or Down syndrome or 70 year life spans?

Christadelphian
by Billy1000 inmy name is stephen and i am new to the forum.
i am a christadelphian and through my discussions with fellow members of my ecclesia it has inspired me to reach out to other religions to find out exactly what others believe to enhance my own faith and further bring me closer to our heavenly father.
in no way do i mean disrespect if it has been caused.

Hello Billy. I'm a former elder of 14 years, now atheist.
I wish to believe as many true things and as few false things as possible. I see no good reason to believe that any of the words found in Bibles originate with a god that exists outside of space and time. Do you have any?

A Good Decade
by theliberator inif you were really into the organization back in the 80's, you have to admit, that it was the peak of the organization.
it was a time of high energy and excitement.
like any nation, it reaches a peak and then it declines.

I was baptized in 1984 at the age of 16.
The Cold War was raging and the King of the North, the Soviet Union, seemed stronger than the US and was ready to "enter the land of decoration". I was one scared pre-teen and teen back in the early to mid-80s.
The planets had aligned, Armageddon has never been closer ... then it all slipped away.

Gas Pump "Witnessing"....Is this a thing?
by Bob Loblaw ini've seen this twice now within a month.
a car group hanging out at a gas station.
one of the cult members jumps outs of their car and runs up to a "worldly" gas pumper, arm stretched out, tract in hand, and here comes the juvenile at best question.

Good idea or bad idea?
by stephanie61092 infirst and foremost, thank you so much to so many of you who have reached out to me over the past few days since my post on sunday.
i'm not totally in the best mental state, however, i do have a very small amount of people that i can lean on for support.
i relayed my feelings to a friend (my only friend, really), who took the initiative to inform my family.

If it's just MSs handling the accounts, the elders may never see any check with your name on it. -

Not One of them is missing
by pandorasbox1914 in.
here is a question, if "not one of them is missing" how does the org explain super nova's, the destruction of a star at the end of it's life cycle?
because by definition it is missing, i have never heard of any explanation from the org to explain this contradiction..

The Bible says what it says, and doesn't say what it doesn't say.
Unless you believe any of it has merit, then you've got your work cut out for you.

They're now asking people to clean at Bethel?
by onightdivine ini heard from a "friend" that a letter was read aloud during the midweek meeting asking people to volunteer to do cleaning work in bethel.
lol.
i really can't think of anything else to say if this is true.. they get more free labor, and they still ask for more more more money!!

Former elder of 14 years here Sanchy. I resigned in 2012. I'm the co-host of a new podcast called "JW Escape" and I still go to meetings. LOL Episode 2 will be uploaded in a couple weeks and it will deal with our issues of being "stuck" in the organization.
I'm still going to to meetings for my wife sake. I plan to shut down all theocratic activity toward the end of this summer/early fall.
I have no children, I'm not sure what the future of my marriage will be. I will not be living my golden years with a JW, I'd rather not those be sacrificed as well.
2016 will be my year, I wish you the best.
