Have you any idea how many tens of millions of people the Left starved, brutalised and killed in the 20th century?
Dear LUHE,
Look up whataboutism and learn something.

Our daughter was free to make her own choice.
by StephaneLaliberte inwhen eloise dupuis gave birth to her son in 2016, there were complications where a blood transfusion would have saved her live.
however, she refused and died; to the horror of the medical staff and the entire province of quebec.. two years later, there was a change in politics and the topic came back up in the media.
the parents of eloise dupuis, obviously exhausted by the media coverage, wrote a comment to a well known news paper in quebec.

I see their comment as more of a reflection of Christianity's (and JWs) basic message:
"Serve God or be annihilated (tortured?) forever, it's your choice."
They imagine that's giving you a choice.
Legally she had a choice, and legally Watchtower could have it's tax exempt status revoked, etc.
Like the girl that egged on her boyfriend to commit suicide, I believe any person/institution whose words or actions lead directly to death should have their day in court. At the minimum, they shouldn't be state sponsored, which is what charity status is.

Did you know Banks create money out of thin air?
by TerryWalstrom inbanks create money “out of thin air.”empirical studies have been undertaken to prove this thesis and this is the conclusion:.
in the 5,000 year history of banking, banks have been thought of as “deposit taking institutions which lend money”.. 1. what is the legal reality?
banks don’t take deposits and don’t lend money.the public is under this false impression on purpose because the language of banks is not legal language.. so--what is a “deposit”?a deposit is not actually a deposit.

Films with nudity
by neat blue dog ini guess every jw has a different conscience on the matter, and i don't believe any jw publications have ever specifically mentioned nudity in film as being off limits.
of course genitals are out of the question because that's usually relegated to r movies which most good jws don't view.
female toplessness is condoned but not spoken about, as most jws i know have seen titanic and many own it.

Here in Texas, JWs seem to tow the same line as most conservative Christians. No Rs, PG13s majority ok, PG most always ok, G no problem.
From my experience, the JWs in the UK and the Netherlands have a much better view of movie viewing choices. The US always seems to be puritanical about sex and inconsistent about their supposed hatred of violence.
I do have some Special Pioneer friends in Central America, and they watch EVERYTHING, pirated of course.

I'm still working on my forum discussion skills. It is very easy for me to get emotional. I blame it on being PIMO, but it's probably just something I need to really work on that will stick with me after being POMO. -

by minimus incelebrating holidays is wrong if you are a witness.

I always struggled with the fact that I was told these things were wrong, but I could never see in practice the reason for their being wrong. Murder, stealing, yes, I can see those practices having bad results, but congratulating someone for making it another year in their limited time on the earth? I could never see anything negative about it.
When I was a child (of the 70s) I would hear this: "birthday parties bring too much honor to an individual". That made sense when I was 8 years old, but as my brain developed, I was like: "anniversaries honor two people", what the hell is the difference? Parental answer: "marriage is an arrangement of God" that's why we have anniversaries. And it was just stupid apologetics like this that aren't even in print that I would hear.
Most JWs know that there is actually nothing wrong with birthdays, thus the cognitive dissonance.

Why does WT rarely reference creationist scientist?
by Sanchy inin watching the latest video in the series "was it designed?
" at tv-dot-jw-dot-org, i got to wondering why is it that watchtower hardly references scientist that are creationist.
i know its only a minority from that group, but there are enough out there for them to reference from.

I've noticed that Watchtower doesn't reference much of anything anymore.

a member or adherent of a political party seeking to represent the interests of ordinary people
or at least tries really hard to pretend to be.
Having a Verizon lawyer as the chair of the FCC isn't what I call draining the swamp.
