People don't roll dice to create laws MMM, they do it based on their values. Ben Shapiro's values suck as do most of his ideas. Have you seen the latest blunder of his on the "they" pronoun? He's a religiously bigoted fool. -

Ben Shapiro has stated he will not attend a Jew / Non-Jew wedding. The same way a JW won't go to a JW/non-JW wedding. This type of value system is what I'm trying to get away from, religious bigotry. Shapiro is an idiot.
If you're an exJW that likes Ben Shapiro, you're a cult hopper, plain and simple.

"A more useful model is from state control to libertarian as that groups the high-control ideologies all together as they work and act in the same way - fascism, islam, communism are really all the same, not "left" and "right". It's high control vs freedom. People equate "conservatism" with being "right" but it's not, it's just further away from the high control / big government (often viewed as "left")."
Conservatives always wish to control your social life, at the highest level, by law. Whom can you marry? Poor Ben Shapiro, still boycotts inter-religious marriages. You know, "the cool kids philosopher". It wasn't conservatives that wished for people the freedom to intermarry, whether that be race, religion, or sex. Conservatives have their divinely revealed morals and pass laws so that everyone else must live by their ideology.
Can you open a casino in Texas? Sorry, conservatives still have that outlawed.
Can you buy beer on Sundays before noon in Texas? Sorry, conservatives still have that outlawed.
Can you buy nails along with wood on Sundays in Texas? Conservatives finally let us do that in the 80s.
Is a trillion dollar per year military big government to a conservative? Nope. Is single payer healthcare big government? Absofreekinglutely. If you wish to kill people, we'll open up our wallets (socialized military expenses yum yum), if you wish to save lives, take a hike, you're on your own buddy.
The reality is for American government, we have the Ds and Rs. And historically both parties suck. The rich buy off politicians in both parties. eg Henry Cuellar. It's like Yankee fans and Dodger fans in a brawl, and the Yankees are owned by the same dude as the Dodgers. The owner sit's back, enjoys watching the fight, but mostly loves how the money keeps rolling in.
Even though Dave Rubin might be dumber than dirt, his "talking about ideas" mantra I really like. Putting the "high control" or "libertarian" label on a group doesn't seem to help either. It's the ideas and values that the group/party promotes that should be discussed.
In the neck of the woods that I live in, being an atheist is not something you would want to advertise, so I don't have the bumper sticker. Atheist means something evil to most of the people around me. I'm evil. I'm other. Labels suck.

Trump fired John Bolton, that alone should be redemption enough for any Russian oligarchs he was allegedly trying to do and/or might be doing business deals with in the future.
The Republican establishment, in all of its disgustingness (other side of Dem establishment coin) handed Trump John Bolton. Even with his mental limitations, Trump was able to figure out that Bolton is a corrupt war hawking POS.
Where is Bolton now? Back in the GOP establishment world, running his Super PACs. Entities that are legalized bribery conduits. The US congressional military industrial complex love them some John Bolton.
Thank you Donald Trump for not being a war hawk.

This is not the greatest of OPs, I concur, but it raises a great topic.
I've known JWs with Hummers, Lambos, Ferraris etc.
Anyone on here remember the guy that used to drive a Rolls Royce to the assembly hall in Monroe NY and then give talks on the platform, usually the bigger parts because he was such a great speaker? Circa late 80s early 90s.
Personally I think it is a good thing for the R&F to see. Someone not living the simplest of lifestyle yet being well used by the cult leadership. Red flag boys and girls, not everyone needs to make huge sacrifices to be loved by Jehovah's awesome organization, obviously.

Do You Think People Should Be Scorned For Wearing A Red MAGA Hat?
by minimus indo you support free choice to wear a political hat or article of clothing?
if someone wants to put a bumper sticker on their car in support of a political candidate or party, should they be able to do it without fear of being maligned or abused?

My wife is a true believing JW, my approach towards her isn't one of treating her like s***.
I disagree with about 80 percent of Trump administration policy, but it's not with the vehement hatred that I have of 99% of JW policy.
I defer to Megan Phelps Roeper's Ted talk on how to disagree with people, she has some good ideas there, name calling and shouting doesn't help. This is something that I continue to work on.

Trump Derangement Syndrome Is Alive and Well
by minimus ini was on facebook and a person i have known for a long time posted how trump is mentally ill and is truly a psychopath.
a couple of her friends chimed in when i suggested that perhaps the fb friend was really the psychopath.
a couple of her friends began to defend her but i was surprised by how many people defended the president!

No, this is not correct. This line wasn’t a distraction or red herring. The point: If you can tick off all the criteria for “Malignant Narcissism” simultaneously for both Hillary and Trump (and probably a whole host of other politicians, if we want to be honest), and then assert Trump has the problem and Hillary does not, then it tends to show TDS is alive and well.
Notice: it is not agreeing with the assessment in any way for Trump or Hillary. It’s a test to see if his world view is internally consistent.
It wasn’t a fallacy.
If anyone is asserting that Hillary is ethically better than Trump, then they are wrong. I believe Trump doesn't like people dying, Hillary's a little more comfortable with killing people, a total war hawk, making her more evil than him in that regard. Trump pulled back a strike on Iran because of the body count, that never stopped Obama and wouldn't stop Hillary for damn sure.

Regardless of how much you hate Trump (and I’m not saying he’s ‘awesome’) - he just got in because many thought he was the lesser of two evils.
He got in because he got enough votes of a sufficient amount of lesser populated states, and that swung the electoral votes. Who's the most evil? It might be Hillary.
You may not like the Electoral College (because your candidate didn’t get in) but it’s there for a very good reason. Read up on it.
Read up on the electoral college? What a wonderful idea? Oh wait, I did that like 20 years ago. Voters in lesser populated states have more power than larger states. When it comes to the presidency and the Senate, lesser populated state folks have greater power. Should voting power be equalized? Probably, but I don't lose sleep about it.

What is this about? Obama was photo'd with the JWs and received a signed copy of the revised NWT or some stupid book. It was all over the news - as if he wasn't delusional/corrupt enough.
Hey, let's see that photo!
I'll grant that Obama was a center right moron, what does that have to do with Trump's re-directing Dorian to Alabama with a Sharpie?
