Daniel 11:35 ... a KEY prophecy that must be fulfilled before the "time of the end" gets underway.
i am thinking about starting to take some courses, working toward my degree.
i would appreciate some feedback.. on the one hand, i have made a successful career for myself as a highly paid computer professional, working for a variety of prominent companies here in the usa over the last 12 years.
this, in spite of not going to college for reasons that you all understand.. to date, the only companies that cared that i did not have a degree, once i had a few years experience, were companies that worked with universities and higher education products.

Daniel 11:35 ... a KEY prophecy that must be fulfilled before the "time of the end" gets underway.
(cnn) -- a u.s. astronomer said he has uncovered the first reference to the star of bethlehem outside the bible, in the 4th-century writings of a christian convert who wanted to hide the astrological roots of the celestial phenomenon.
for centuries, scientists and scholars have debated about the nature of the biblical light that led the magi to the newborn jesus.
some have suggested a comet or supernova.
But Michael Molnar concluded that the star was actually a double eclipse of Jupiter roughly 2,000 years ago.
It’s become quite obvious that people who post this type of drivel are not listening to what people have said a number of times on this and other forums in regard to the ridiculous assumption that the “star” had something to do with the planets etc. THERE IS NO POSSIBLE WAY THAT SUCH A THEORY COULD BE TRUE. The Biblical account says that the star came to a stop ABOVE where the young child was … and when they went into the HOUSE they saw the young child with Mary its mother. No conjunction of planets, no “double eclipse of Jupiter”, nor anything else having to do with the bodies which make up the solar system could conceivably come to a stop above the house in which Jesus lived so as to point out the exact house where he could be found. WHEN WILL THOSE WHO INSIST ON CONTINUING TO POST SUCH NONSENSE GET THAT THROUGH THEIR THICK SCULLS? OBVIOUSLY, THEY DON’T HAVE EARS TO HEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This so-called Star of Bethlehem was nothing more than a mysterious light that Satan himself produced in his attempt to kill the one that was destined to crush his head. The "star", or light, was merely a tool that Satan used in hopes of thwarting God's advancing purpose to restore heaven and earth to the original state they BOTH were in before Satan disturbed it all, hence the "new heaven" and "new earth" of which Revelation 21:1 speaks.
Molnar, deducing that Aries was the sign of the Jews, figured that ancient astrologers would have searched that constellation for a sign of a savior of the kingdom of Judea. The “ancient astrologers” (aka “Magi”) weren’t trying to find “a savior”. They went into Jerusalem asking: “Where is the one born king of the Jews.”

It has been requested here by a couple of you that I reveal what I look like. (Now try not to salivate all over the place, Lilacs. And as for you Venice, just sob and sob some more until your handkerchief is totally wet! ) So I decided to alleviate all curiosity, because I have nothing to hide anyway. I don't want to reveal my name of course, not because I have anything to fear from my brothers at headquarters in New York, but for reasons that you probably know and can understand.
Anyway these links include pictures of me and most beautiful wife (taken in 1993, I think), as well as a couple of me while I was at my place of work (taken in 1994). The one of the Postal Emblem is a patch that I wore at the time of my retirement, which I am particularly proud of because I was pleased to do an honorable job for my employer. The only thing that I ask is that nobody re-post the actual pictures themselves onto this forum or any other place on the Internet, and I believe that I can trust that such won't be done. /Yadirf.

:I dare say YOU are the tormented one. You are the one feverishly worrying about 'geddon and Daniel 11:35.
I'm not "worrying" about it, TR, I'm merely looking forward to the paradise conditions that will follow it.
:YOU are the one that has to worry about wether or not your going to fry at 'geddon, not me.
I know that you're not worried about that TR, but then again neither am I. I have no reason to be, because I'm in agreement with the God who determined its need and who will initiate it.
:I've seen through the bogus religion routine, my friend.
Have you really? Does God restoring health and happiness to mankind really sound fake to you?
:YOU are still caught up in it like a bug gets caught in a spiders web, waiting to get all of your juices sapped until you're nothing but a dried up, braid dead husk of a former human. Quite a pitiful sight from this side of the fence.
That's because you're on the South side of the "fence", TR.
:I'm glad your not going to the meetings or out in field service.
That's because you're on the North side of the "fence".
:Now, about "worldly", you mind numbed drone, you know damn well what I meant. Nice dodge.
I guess I really am a "mind numbed drone". What DID you mean? Well, if you meant my having relations with my beautiful wife then that's been narrowed down to somewhere around once a month or less. If that's what you had reference to I wish you were right! Maybe I'm just "sleepy" and need to go to bed.

You said: "as I said above it is very heartening for animal lovers to know that God’s justified anger won’t be directed at and include the animal kingdom."That's because Noah loved meat, silly! Not all animals are our "pets".So then, God's promise was really directed at Animal lovers?
This seema strange considering the first thing God allowed Noah after the flood was to slaughter animals for food!
In fact God demanded the slaughter of millions of animals in his blood lust of sacrifices.God never had a "blood lust" to begin with. But in terms of lives sacrificed the "millions of animals" sacrificed by the Israelites didn't compare to the one great sacrifice of God's first-born son. The purpose for the animal sacrifices was to impress upon the Israelites that they needed a redeemer. Of course that "redeemer" would be one that would come through the Israelite peoples.
You said "The point is that God IS going to act quite similarly to the way he did at the Flood, especially with regards to us Humans"Stop worrying about the "rainbow", Radar, there won't be a post-Armageddon rainbow because the animals will be left in tact.Again what was the point of the rainbow?
You said "Insofar as you claiming that the Flood was an “Over kill”, you’re also the one who thinks that God is unjust for bringing about Armageddon for the sake of cleansing the earth of all that is damaging."That's no comparison to be making. What God did in bringing about the Flood, and the scenario that you've painted, are in no way comparable. The Flood ended the lives of those whom God knew to be deserving of being taken off the earthly scene, which WAS indeed an "act of wisdom". Your scenario on the other hand would end the lives of people indiscriminately. The flood was an overkill!!!
If George Bush dropped a hundred atom bombs in the Middle East, killing nearly all life forms, in an act to eradicate Bin Laden, would you consider this an act of wisdom?
Well you are saying your God acted like this.
See above, there's no comparison whatsoever.
Actually in your foolishness, you carry on the error that Religion [h]as done for milleniums. In an effort to justify a book of stories and a religious system you in effect dishonour God, by your preachings
Sorry, Radar, but you haven't shown where I've dishonored God by my "preachings".
You said....oh never mind, go back to your delusions.
Sorry again, Radar, but you've not shown a basis for claiming that I'm deluded.

:Now, your only problem is explaining why the tree and the star is "worldly".
Rather than being avowed Christians the majority of those who celebrate Christmas are "worldly", aren't they? If that be the case then it's a "worldly" celebration via popular practice.
:What, pray tell, DO you do with all that free time of yours? Let's see, you're retired, not going to meetings, not going out in field service... What DO you do with yourself, Yadon'tgotomeetings? Sit around waiting for Daniel 11:35 to come to pass? LOL!
Not entirely, TR. Some of my time I spend on the Internet tormenting souls such as you. LOL.

Toddy Potty
Yes Yardif Shmardif, how am i going to precisely die on this eventfull day?Why are you so insistent upon dying at Armageddon, Toddy? Are you SURE that you even will? For example, do you even know what you will have to do in order to be marked for removal? Even if you do, how do you know how you will react to the pressure to conform to the demands of the World Government in that day? Do you know even NOW that you would place God in second place by elevating that government's authority above his? Are you aware that that's how one receives the "mark" in the first place? If you ALREADY know that you would thus commit idolatry then you will indeed pay for it with your life, but not necessarily your eternal life.

Nice to have an excuse for not going to the meetings, though. Gives you lots of time to be "worldly".Worldly? If I wanted to be "worldly", TR, I'd have gotten myself a Christmas Tree with all the trimmings ... with a little Satanic "star" for the top ... now wouldn't I have?

What "rightful place" would that be, besides "boss?"Somebody has to be the "boss", why not the Creator?
: That which is truly Biblical leads to the fulfillment of all that makes man truly happy.A wife is a "truly Biblical" thing, Farkel. Now see, you've done gone and discovered that the Bible leads to the fulfillment of what makes a man truly happy.Well, please enlighten me and others! I've been looking for that answer for half-a-century! The closest I came to that was this girl I met in New Orleans, see, and she did this incredible thing with me see, and then she.......oh, nevermind!

Dear Troubled TR
I bet that you think if you were an active JW right now, you might be afraid to be "cleansed" or "purged" out of the org. according to the scripture in Daniel 11:35, right?Daniel 11:35 isn't about people themselves being purged out of the Organization, TR. It's about misimpressions of what the Bible teaches being rooted out and being replaced with what is accurate. Your memory of the Society's perception of that scripture and what I know it to mean are two different things. Try to keep them separated in our future discussions, TR. [8>]
The crap you look forward to ain't gonna happen. It just shain't gonna happen. Amazing that you think that scripture would apply to a few years during your existance. Come on, get real.I'm not saying that Daniel 11:35 has to be fulfilled within MY lifespan, but of course I hope that it will be though. You asked me, did you not, what prevents me from going back to the meetings? I answered by saying that certain refinements have to take place first, refinements referred to in THAT text. That text is obviously speaking of things of a major sort. The 1914 doctrine is of that rating, of course.

Toddie Pottie
my question was with all this talk about the billions of non believers dying at armageddon, how will they die precisely? So, what you're really wanting to know is PRECISELY how YOU will die if you happen to still be living in that day and be stupid enough to accept the "mark". Right?

Farkel Darkel (my most respected apostate)
: A terrible, unhappy picture? No, Farkel Darkel, the foolishly refusing to recognize God's rightful place among his creation is what leads to unhappiness and all sorts of terrible things such as those mankind has had to endure. That which is truly Biblical leads to the fulfillment of all that makes man truly happy.
: Yes it is, but nevertheless biblical.Of course it makes sense. "Biblical" inevitably follows from "terrible" and "unhappy."

When ya going back to the KH, Yadirf?Sometime within my lifetime, I hope. First in order though is the fulfillment of Daniel 11:35. That's what everyone better be watching for, if they're wise. How about me driving by to pick you up, and you can go with me, after you've seen the fulfillment of Daniel's prophecy? Will you be able to recognize it's fulfillment when it happens?
