for the last year i've had cable modem service....much faster...and my use of aol declined to almost nothing.

I have both AdAware (Lavasoft) and Spybot, two great programs...I run them about twice a week. Yeppers, I gotta run through and delete files...come to think of it, let me check my profile here, make sure my updated email is on here.

I finally dumped AOL after seven years. For the last year I've had Cable Modem service....MUCH FASTER...and my use of AOL declined to almost nothing. I finally dumped them and their slow crappy service. I did the UNINSTALL and my computer seems to be running faster. YEA!!!!!!!!

dave got home early on wednesday so we hustled off to the afternoon showing.

it was amazing...................very compelling, and thought provoking.. one of the most upsetting things was towards the end when he revealed that of all 96 (not sure of that number) members of congress (senate and house) only 1 member had a child in the military, actively serving.

my son is a real issac asimov fan.
he said asimov would have hated the movie, but that he really enjoyed it.. come to think of it, i'd be hard pressed to name a will smith movie i don't like.
With the exception of a few character names and the "three laws" the movie has NOTHING to do with Asimov's I, ROBOT. Like I said, my son is a HUGE Asimov fan, and he still liked the movie. If you go expecting to see Asimov's book in film form...forget it...if you want to go see a good movie...I highly recommend it..

Come to think of it, I'd be hard pressed to name a Will Smith Movie I DON'T like. The man has gotten big since doing Ali...I noticed my wife looking a little more than usual.
There were 25 minutes worth of previews before the start of the movie (I timed it). Is that normal now days...I've been used to 10 or 15 minutes...but if a movie is advertized to start at 7PM and it's 7:25 before "FEATURE PRESENTATION" appears on the screen...somethings wrong...I'm gonna complain to the company (for what good it will do me)

I must agree. The economy in our area certainly isn't booming. Then look a little harder, the economy is growing faster than it has in 20 years, over 100,000 NEW JOBS added every month....19 billion dollar budget surplus for June...oh, you didn't hear that did you the main stream ain't reporting it.I wonder if everyone would be as against MIchael Moore if he was a well built, not overweight, handsome well groomed man. I think he is unpleasant to look at but he is a very talented filmmaker. No doubt he's talented, so was Joseph Goebels, he's a talented propagandist. i have been thinking about this as a topic, and after reading the following comment by bikerchic on another thread, i think it is relevant, and would like to hear the american's thoughts on this.he never should have been president and it's a shame that we as us citizens let him get away with cheating his way into office.

I'm shocked that I said anything worth repeating, LOL I had just finished reading Stupid White Men by Michael Moore and in that book he lays out how the conspiracy for Bush to win Florida actually started several months before the election. It's a good read and I highly recommend the book. I had actually gone today to buy my own copy as I borrowed my daughters and left it at her house. I'm going to order one off Amazon tonight.

The Supreme Court did NOT decide the election, the electoral college did. The courts should have NEVER been involved. The democrats tried to change the rules mid election...which is QUITE illegal.
