I work as an RN in a hospital with a "bloodless" program. The three employees who are the administrators of the program are all JW's. So far we have not had a patient brave enough to buck the system, but I am sure it would instantly be reported. Elders who are not employees visit the patients daily and go to the chart to document their "pastoral" care. So if there is a bloodless program near you, be sure you think through thoroughly your choices, because if you are an active JW, you will have no privacy in this matter.

by schne_belly ini hope this is ok to post this news article.
its an insurance/news letter that i purchased online.
i am thinking of distributing to local hospital human resource departments to inform them of their need to ask questions when hiring people with religious views that may affect their work.

I haven't been inside a kingdom hall in over ten years. These myths were going around then. Can't they come up with any new ones? Becky

COOKBOOK First Draft is off to a publisher
by Lady Lee ini just sent the first draft of the cookbook to an e-publisher to see if they will accept it.. late submissions will still be accepted and can still be added to the book before turning it into a pdf file.. but the first draft gives them an opportunity to take a look at it and see if it meets their standards.
and it gives me a chance to make any improvements they might suggest.. so cross your fingers.
lol.

Can you trim them more often but only one or part of one paw at a time? He might not get as angry. And treat him every time. One of my kitties gets cheese for nail trims. He doesn't resent them at all. He likes his cheese. But my other kitty still gets mad so we only do one or two claws a day. Not Brummie, but I do love cats. Becky

Henschel's obit in NY Times
by Nathan Natas ini find it amusing that milton henschel is accurately described, not as a "theologian" or "minister," but as an "executive.".

Why do some people place such huge spaces in their posts? It makes them tedious to read. I like to read here, even though I don't post much. I guess I don't have any right to complain but I am curious. I can understand that it might make telling a story more dramatic but usually it just seems to be an affectation. Am I alone in being irritated? Becky

by waiting incult seminar - steve hassan
last weekend, steve hassan conducted a seminar for cult survivors & professionals who work with them.
randy watters of freeminds (with the help of cynthia hampton) hosted it in flooding southern california.. we were a group of scientologists, hare krishna's, international church of christ, moonies, jehovah's witnesses, and a couple of mean small group cults.
