Please welcome my wife to the JWD
by Paralipomenon inthis has been an interesting week.
early in the week my wife started corresponding with one of her old friends.
he is no longer a witness and while i'm not sure what the catalyst was they started talking about why he left the witnesses.

Bad Day !
by stevenyc inevery now and then a day can put things into perspective.
i can be pissed because; a car driver cuts me off while riding a bike, verizon want me to pay bs charges on my phone bill, or thirdwitness is defending the watchtowers abuse policy.
but, today, my uncle fell down the stairs and shattered his skull.

My long story at least Part 1
by pmouse inspecifically christmas appears to be the one holiday to which all others compare.
we either joyfully or sadly recall past christmas holidays.
as i recall, they were controversial in our family even before i was born.. im going to go back a couple of generations in my story to give you a bit of background.

We had a JW at the door today...how I handled it..
by megsmomma inmy first instinct was to tell him to go away and my husband was going to answer the door and i said, just tell him we are disfellowshipped.
(i am da'd....he hasn't ever been, but, he is "guilty by association" and conciders himself da'd too...).
so, it is one older man and he is handing out the "follow the christ" convention invitation.

Good job, Megsmomma, Sure, they 'don't' want to believe us, but you did plant an idea, and you never know, he just might check the 'evil' net himself and check it out. Zazu

putting together an anti-JW video
by B_Deserter init's geared toward people who haven't signed the pool contract yet and has information that most witness newbies don't know or don't think about.
what are some things you would tell a person studying or just taking magazines?

My 'never' a JW daughter viewed it - like it very much and will tell her friends to take a look. Good job and thanks. Zazu
