Now feeling the pain of sitting on the pickets class.
since i found sites like this on the internet i have been constantly amazed at the great number of people who post here and yet do this in secret.. so many people seem to be trapped in a situation where they desperately want to leave the jw religion behind.
so many people seem to be unable to do so for fear of losing their families, fearing that a da'ing or df'ing decree will separate them from the people that they love.
some posters are even elders and ministerial servants.. so, can you guys tell me how you manage to lead a life that is so complex?
ok, chester. i'll write you tonight or tommorow.
ok?
ok!

Now feeling the pain of sitting on the pickets class.
the other evening a young person was reinstated and the jerk-water elder making the announcement went out of his way to remind "the friends" that applauding would not be proper.
what mind control, bunk, dribble, bull................ they are so loving aren't they?
i shoulda applauded anyway.
I think next time a j- dub is reinstated i will----bite my toungue.
i just read your post sam, and couldn't agree more, with the actual experience told, cheering and partying was a bit premature.
i rememeber when this policy changed. mid 80's this dub thinks, and everytime some spastic, pill popping, mental degenerate, {wait...thats most dubs, no?} we would sit and shake out dub controlled heads in disbelief that a qualude popping dub had the balls to sit there and clap.
if i went crossed the system in anyway at this point it would only be because i have to do exactly what is not wanted or expected. because....
i have to.

the question, "why are you here?
" is simple enough, and your answer may be straightforward.
however, when i asked that of myself, i find that my answer is pretty complicated.
well....
when he's older, maybe we can enjoy him, he's only a month or so old, so still to young to put on the motorcycle yet.

errr....
no, that would be because i am a first time grandpa.
and everyone started calling me gramps.
so i stuck it in there.

I post here and read here, because i find other peoples experiences facinating, and helpfull to me. I need the support of this forum. Of the people in it and who want to help me and others like me. The facts and stories related here are of a help that one could only imagine for me.
So...
Thats why I post and return here often.

Now feeling the pain of sitting on the pickets class.
being from the new england area, where this c.o.
liked to kick ass, a few of my elder friends wanted to know whether anyone has heard of whatever happened to a circuit overseer by the name of terry angelacos.
had a reputation of really trying to get elders removed and then he'd gloat about it at the congregation meetings.
i too and from the n.e. area, but have never heard of that name.
sorry.
but its nice to meet you

i cant help but think some of you guys are just tooooo angry for your past hurts.. weve all got terrible stories which can make us cry, but whats the motivation for such bitterness ?.
some people search out pervets, seemingly to lay these scumbags and their faults at the societys door.. others try to use thier bad times as an excuse to rubbish the entire religion.. i am not saying that jws are great, or that the society is perfect or undeserving of punishment.. but why are we not trying to even up the good points of the religion.. no smoking, no drugs, no abortion, on and on, and on.. and then try to remember the good times you all had at the meetings.
the laughs and the help you gave, and received.
well something must have bitten you in the ass then.
check your shorts.
