What does your name MEAN?
by RichieRich inwe all are identified by our names here on jwd.
some use their real names, and others pick a moniker that is their nickname or perhaps a few words from a song they like.. why did you pick your name?.
for instance,.

lt,
to say nothing of the great mileage!
i took the bike to brockton, ma today, about a 90 mile round trip.
i had a softball leage game today (and every sunday) yes, ex-jw's intergrate into society very nicely thank you.
i get about 40-50 mpg with the bike verses 20-25 mpg with the car.(1997 chevy lumina w/3.1 engine)
I GOT TO SAY I DO NOT ENJOY THE HIGHWAY AT ALL. I TOOK IT THERE, BUT OPTED FOR THE SIDE ROADS (123) all the way back. i don't care for the speed, wind and highway idiocy i see daily. my life is at stake, and i hate highways on the bike. a nice return trip, leisurly and unrushed was most excelent inspike of the 90+ deg F temps today...... remember, 90+ temp/ 90+ % humidity, and 500 degrees of blaring engine heat in between your legs adds up to HOT HOT HOT.

Will the W.T. teach my daughter that it is okay to lie to worldly people?
by hubert inmy daughter never liked to lie, and always tried very hard not to.
in fact, she really hates anything to do with lying.. so, i'm wondering if when she gets baptized, will she be told by the elders that it's okay to lie to worldly nonbelievers for any particular reasons?
i think this would make her start thinking that something is wrong with this picture.. what do you think?.

hubert...
they do it by not "saying it out right" but by deceptive means.
they don't say, "its ok to lie to worldy people".
instead they say, "say this in response to such and such." whereby the response in clearly a lie or falsehood, its deemed "ok" by the r&f because it comes from "mother" (the organisation).
if your daughter is sensitive to lying, then this may be exactly what you need to reach her. a little seed here and there, and an already accute sensitivity to lying and you'll have her back out of that cult in short order.
i know you say she is not baptized, but tis the season, i hope maybe she has not had it planned for any summer assemblies?

I wonder what hollow point federal rounds will do to a JW book bag.
makes me want to go out and buy a rifle or something to keep around the house.
just waving it around, unloaded, will keep, jw's away for a long long time.
and increase the cleaning bills for their undies....

Going to a District Convention Undercover, suggestions?
by frankiespeakin ini'm still undesided but leaning towards going to a few dcs under the cover of a worldly person(i'm really a df'd evil apostate .
i'm a worldy person that is in love with a jw sister who i work with, we have dated and even have been intimate(that outa perk up the ears of any hatchet man elder), and now she refuses to see me any more unless i become a jw, she encouraged me to go to this convention, but is afraid to be seen with me because she doesn't want people in her congregation to know she has a boy friend.
i think that kind of story would grab the interest of many sisters or brother and allow me to ask some hard questions about the organization and even allow me to bring up some things i found on the internet about dates and such and not be viewed as an apostate.

i went undercover to record 2 meetings in a local kh about a year after i left.
dress in jeans and a polo shirt. you'll look "ok" but obviously not one of them. also....just play like your interested, just moved into your hood and there is a local kh close by and you visited and they told you about the dc ect.
it worked ok for us and i got to get two hour long recordings in full detail, even the stammering they gave us as we left because they new the topic drove us away (dfing) and it wasnt one of their "usual" meetings. the guy was a complete bonehead.

Gerrit Loesch GB Speaker at KC convention
by stillajwexelder ingerritt loesch was the gb speaker today at the kc convention - and what a boring old fart he was - i fell asleep and so did my wife

don't you just love how irreverently they treat the gb members? its almost "popelike" in their display.
someplace i have video of the last assembly i went to in amherst Ma, 4 or 5 years ago when a bg spoke. they flocked around him afterwards like he was the president or pope. i was sick about it. i complained out loud to my now ex-wife that the display that was put on was disturbing. he is after all just A MAN.
so glad i dont have to even see that bit anymore.
