Will the W.T. teach my daughter that it is okay to lie to worldly people?

My daughter never liked to lie, and always tried very hard not to. In fact, she really hates anything to do with lying.

So, I'm wondering if when she gets baptized, will she be told by the elders that it's okay to lie to worldly nonbelievers for any particular reasons?

I think this would make her start thinking that something is wrong with this picture.

    What do you think?

Anyone have this kind of experience?

Damn right they will and then justify it by putting a label on the lie:

If they haven't all ready . My husband lies to me constantly about what the jws believe and who will live or die when Armagedden comes . He seems to forget that i was baptised into stupidity once and i know what kind of bull he is spewing.

If the lie benefits the jw or the org ,they will lie .

    hubert my friend,

sadly, it's worse: the religion will teach her that it is okay to lie to herself.

    good luck,

Check out http://www.jwfacts.com There are some things there that may open her eyes - and if she hasn't been baptised yet get in quick. I don't know that the rank and files JW's would know that they were lying, they are educated to accept everything the organisation says without question, to question is an expolsion offence.

    Hi Richie

I started to type and the screen went back to the main posting page, I went back in and lo I had been fruitful - 2 empty posts. Perhaps there is a ghost in my machine - I'm certain it's not the holy spirit.

Anyway - yes - i want to get rid of the newbie tag - but not that way.
