They don't spend millions and millions just to be nice - don't ever believe that! They want hard cash back - and I bet they are scared shitless of R&F JWs finding out about their political involvment.

besides the guy in africa, is the wtbts involved in politics?

i just finished a holiday week-end with old friends in the organization.

all they knew when they came was that i had recently resigned as a elder.

i had your testiclular fortitude. my thoughts and prayers are with you. i know it was not an easy thing. my circumstances do not allow for me to do what you have done, as my wife will not listen to anything i try to talk about. therefore i will take another route off this sitting on the fence position. may your desires and hopes come to be.

What is Gods name anyway?

i was raised a jehovah's witness all my life, though i don''t go any more, not till i fall on my head and not afraid to ask questions does this particular question come up.. what is gods name?.

people act as though everyone in the world speaks english, what about the third of the worlds population in china could it be that is his real name at this late date?

why do we assume that it has to be "jehovah" when it could just as easily be how they call it in china, or india, or arabia, or south america anywhere that there is a large population?.

More Bethelite Table Crumbs Please!

in a controversial post in a separate thread, janh makes an extremely good observation that a certain former gb member will likely carry many, many wts "top secrets" to his grave, for whatever reasons he does not wish to divulge such.. then, on this db, former bethelites constantly exchange posts where their word choice is "cloaked" so that many of us who were not insiders are left guessing at meaning, people, etc.

obviously, even individual members of this fraternity have unique experiences and insights.

if such info is not disseminated, it is lost if that person dies naturally or in an accident.. would you folks please post more elaborately so that the rest of us can benefit from your knowledge and experience.. the statement that motivated this post made a silent reference to the author of the happiness book.

it is the essence of why i revert to staying away from this sight more and more.

especially because i am finnaly learning to think that all is not as i thought, and then mud slinging goes on like this and i begin to wonder what the hell i am doing.

Dateline....Not this week.......

i was just sitting here thinking about the many times people have asked about the airing of the dateline segment.. well, just a thought.

we can move this post up to the top once a week until the show does finally air.

this way people will not ask all the time?.

tell me this isnt so. is this for real? are dubs really thinking they are going to hear such a thing? i've heard nothing of this in my area, but to be honest, i try to be as numb as i can for 2 hours.
its almost over. the time for seperation from this nonsence is at hand.

i hope that at least a few genuine dubs take to heart what is reported. maybe they too, as i did, start to question. start to research. and start to learn.

then start to think.

hello friends,.

in a thread over at witnesses.net entitled "society bracing for law suits" fellow jw's are taking swipes at ray franz.

not too long ago, while i was still under the wt spell i also would have similarily spoken abusively of ray.

there is an abundance of negativity here. i am not pointing fingers, unfortunately it comes from the thing we all share in common. a bitterness for what a membership in a cult has done to us.

personally, i recognize those that have an agenda, and exersize my freedom to point and click where ever the hell i want to and avoid threads i know wont bring me a positive thought.

i blame not those who are negative, but the reason why we are all here in universally the same. we all have in some way been hurt by the wtbts. we all show this hurt in different ways. we all do what we can to help others see it. in the end we step on toes. weather we mean to or not.

i'm one of the most negative people i know. i'm surounded by it.

but i see the light now, at the end of the tunnel.

and, my god, how good it feels to know that i will be free of the bondage very soon.
