Losing friendships because of politics is silly. Viewing someone as mentally unhealthy because of politics is pretty narrow minded.
It’s the same attitude you sometimes see with JWs . If you don’t believe their way, you are “mentally diseased “.

i believe he got shafted but i also recognize that very little will probably change regarding his being re-elected.
this man voted for the “green” candidate and said he personally agrees with most of trump’s views but he thinks he’s morally corrupt.

This man voted for the “Green” candidate and said he personally agrees with most of Trump’s views but he thinks he’s morally corrupt. I mentioned that most Presidents were not choir boys and history is very telling. He agreed. Then he said my stance on Trump bothers him so much he really doesn’t want to talk politics again. I said, I had no problem with that because my friendship with him is more important than Trump. Then he said he was concerned that I was in a Trump cult . I assured him I knew about cults and I wasn’t a cultist and then reminded him of our agreement not to talk politics. He agreed. Today, the first thing he said was once again he was concerned with my mental health because I believed that Biden didn’t really win. He said all these people were in a conspiracy to stop Trump from becoming President??? I answered this way.: Do you agree that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone and shot Kennedy as the Commission said and the government maintains? He got quiet and we began to play. By the way he lost two out of three sets. (Lol)

Good luck to Biden. Maybe he will bring back the presidency to the old glory days. The Dems went after Trump every time they could. Let’s see if the Republicans decide to do the same thing and see how the President will deal.

Proud Boys are obviously not white supremacists. Why would Trump condemn them as white supremacists if they aren’t? These guys aren’t paramilitary. That statement is rank stupidity.

How much do Elders actually get along with each other?
by Davros ini was reading in the shepherding book that elders should “ cultivate and maintain friendships with one another.”, and thought to myself “bulls$it!” i remember that most of the elders in my old congregation were nothing but nasty asses.
i know it may vary from congregation to congregation, but do elders generally get along with each other behind closed doors in elders meetings?
or, are they often in conflict with each other?

As a collective group, elders will often stick up for one another but privately acknowledge that Elder so and so is a weirdo. But unless everyone really detests him, he’s in da club

Should Social Media Silence Conservative Views?
by minimus ini find it very disturbing that media outlets as well as facebook, instagram, google and others decide that a point of view is not acceptable simply because they don’t share an opinion.
perhaps it is at least right now but i think it’s very wrong.

I think liberal thought as well as conservative should be allowed equally in discussion . All types of legitimate news should be allowed. Fake news should not be presented but opinions should be allowed to be expressed.
