Just to be clear, I got the strap, the regular belt, the thick razor belt, the hand and anything close to my mother’s hand. I never was in danger of my life. I thought that the emphasis on the thread was how terrible JW parents are that they even kill or get close to killing their kids. That’s pretty rare but getting “disciplined “, I got it as a kid regularly.🤭

Rocket man, hard hitting but I understand your point. It could be that Dis is simply not like everyone else. He has to make sure of all things about everything. Watchtower Organization is clearly wrong about most things. Doctrines, chronology, prophecies, etc. It’s hard to defend so much wrongness.

We had a CO’s wife that believed every sister, especially on Sundays should wear a hat. She and her husband were like a Father’s Know Best TV show or Ozzie and Harriet. He would have his Dick Tracy hat on and the wife would have hers on and they would criticize anyone that didn’t follow their example. They were odd but I actually got a kick out of them.

I caused an uproar at the circuit assembly when I had my daughter’s friend in an interview. She had a long dress to her ankles that had a slit that went BELOW HER KNEE. I got talked to about that one.. lol

Dis, in CONTEXT, my comments to Farkel meant this: Farkel verbally beat up anyone who couldn’t “prove” what they were alleging. If I said , elders were told by Circuit Overseers that such and such a thing was policy, he would say PROVE IT! If it was a conversation between you and the CO and it was not provable, he would dismiss your statement as not being verifiable or possibly truthful. So I gave him back his own medicine. Like I said, I believed everything he suggested there.

There are weirdos everywhere and some think it’s literally ok to beat your kids. Some are Catholic, Protestant, Jews and Muslims and yes even Jehovah’s Witnesses. It’s not typical of any of these people to beat their kids to death. Suggesting otherwise is being dishonest.
