  last november the elders paid me a visit.

  i wanted to show them that they were loyal to an organization even over truth.

  Dude, that was very interesting. Its amazing how a Dub can be loyal to the Mother Organization, even if its not logical.
  It boils down to fear and the security blanket. Fear of sticking with the WTS even if it makes mistakes, because its
  God's "chosen" organization, and because they have nowhere else to go. A Dub would be terrified of leaving the Org
  or worse yet be df'd. It's like taking the security blanket away from that kid in the Peanuts comic strip. So they would
  rather rationalize something in their mind to make them accept whatever inconsistency is brought to their attention, be
  it the blood doctrine, false prophecies, twisting the true meaning of the Good News, etc. Remember what a WT writer
  once wrote in an article, that people don't like to think too much!

  this isn't jw related, but i was hoping to get some feedback on a problem that i'm having.. here's the deal.

  yesterday my downstairs neighbor told the maintenance man that she want to shoot us (my family).

  i've known for about 2 years that she has some mental problems and was somehow focused on us, but i didn't realize to what extent.. two years ago, around christmas, we came home from somewhere and saw 2 christmas cards laying on the rug outside our door.

  anyway, there was this lineup of men and women and i was supposed to pick out the real adam and eve.

  it is true, we must remember the purpose why we are on these message board.

  Well written. I must admit it will be a challenge for me to deprogram myself from over 20 years of WTS brainwashing
  to come to understand the simple Bible truths such as Works and Salvation as presented above. For such a long time
  I felt as falling short of pleasing the Lord for not being able to deliver on what I was taught. Jesus' words are true when
  he spoke to the Pharisees calling them hypocrites for putting heavy loads on people. These exact words are applicable
  to the WTS today. I am glad though Jesus said "come to me for my load is light!"

  WT literature in the trash can

  i am born in the truth.now i am 40 years old and have thrown all my wt literature in the trash can.i am ashamed that i have been in the watchtower orginazation and in my prayer to jehovah i have said that i only belong to him.

  Hi Nordic. I too am in pretty much the same situation as you. Except, I started BUYING old WT literature on the
  internet and in used book stores so that I could convice myself and the wife that this is not the truth!

  Regarding Dub, I believe it's short for W. Hence Jay Dub is short for Jehovah's Witness.
