Excellent post with well-done research. Everyone should paste and copy this so they can show it to their loved ones who are still in this cult.

Canadians: what do you think of them ?
by RAYZORBLADE injust wondering, all you non-canucks(canadians) on this forum.
what do you think of canada, and canadians?
be honest, good or bad or in between, it'd be neat to read what impression non-canadians have of us canuckastanis (thanks pat buchanan).

Logansrun.....has arrived
by logansrun ini just thought i would post a little about myself here, even though some of you might know me from the "beyond jehovah's witnesses" forum.
my name is bradley and i live in a suburb of chicago illinois.
i'm currently twenty six years old and left the jws about nine months ago after a year and a half of intense doubts, many hundreds of hours of research, cognitive dissonance and bouts of vomitting (stressful, eh?).

Congrats on your liberation. Its not easy for JWs to do research and reading which is critical of the Watchtower Society, since the very thought can lead to panic attacks and actual mental shutdown and denial. Years of indoctrination that only the Governing Body has the truth and going against the Society is like going against God himself is very strong in witnesses who study the Society literature regularly, that's why people such as you had to be strong and persistent to go to the end of the matter. I know what you went through, I went through exactly the same thing.

Jehovah Witnesses watching TV tonight
by JH inthe active jw's watching tv tonight will be surprised when they see themselves in the spotlight.
how do you think the average jw will react when watching the program?
will they think that it's all lies, or do you think they will believe a good part of it?

Somebody I know let a few persons in his congregation know of tonight's CBC program. The reaction? Read excepts from the following:
Original message:
FYI.

All this to say - I would not waste my time and
> be exposed to such unfair reports. Fair reports on JW's are few and far

> P.S. For all I know, it might be a good segment, but why take the chance.
> Oh, and by the way, isn't it meeting night?Notice how the word "Apostasy" creeps into this kind of information? The typical JW is discouraged from thinking independantly from the Organization, or of thinking critically of it altogether. Their minds would simply shut down at the very thought..

Field Service Tricks
by Beans indoes any one remember this one?
as we live in the "great white north" the weather does not always co-operate with us and sometimes we would have to go outdoors for field service in the winter months.
so i remember my father giving the congregation some tips when the householder would open the door!

I remember once it was -20C outside. So we would knock on one door, and regardless on whether they answered or not, we went back to the car and stayed there for 10 minutes to warm up. After 12-15 doors we did our two hours without talking to anyone and went home proud of ourselves!
