Missy04,
Its probably because you have low iron.
...i feel great!
i have been a jw almost all my life, and at a little over 40 years old, for the first time i donated half a litre of whole blood, and i am told it can be used to save 4 people!
i can't tell you how terrified i was to be spotted by a jw, although they would also have had a hard time explaining their presence at the clinic.

After I finish typing these sentences I'm going to tell my wife what I did today (she is inactive and only goes to Sunday meetings, but still has some loyalty to the Organzation, although she wouldn't rat me out since after constant bombardment I convinced her the blood doctrine is wrong).
Has anyone here donated blood while still a jw?
Edited because I can't spell for beans.
many times on this board people post to say a factor in their leaving the wt was having read ray franz book(s) - many years ago william schnell published a book - 30 years a watchtower slave - have never seen this book but was wondering - has anyone read it ?
was it as effective as crisis of conscience in exposing the myth of "the truth"?
- did it have an imact when it was publised?
Hi there.
I have read both books. In Franz's books he just presents the facts and is careful not to sound bitter with his experiences. Schnell on the other hand is very sarcastic and bitter of his experiences. It kind of takes the joy out of reading the book. However, i still recommend his book. I have no idea what has become of him.
does anyone know if there is a cd-rom of old "golden age", "consolation", "awake!
" magazines?
yes, i know that randy's freeminds site has old watchtowers on cd, and purchased many a gem that way.
Try ebay under "Watchtower".
What happened today at JWD? Where is everyone? There are only 5 new topics posted.
i'm sure this has been done before, but thought i would start this poll.
how many donated for literature taken.
personally, i never gave a dime, yet ordered a lot of literature including "deluxe" bibles, cds, bound volumes, etc..
I've always done so as a faithful Dub. But ever since becoming a secret apostate, not one dime in the last 4 years.
He he he! I've robbed then many hundreds of dollars!
watchtower chronology suffers from weak logical links.
after all, they start with an unproven premise and begin linking and linking and linking and suddenly they produce the rabbit out of the hat.
1914 is the rabbit .
Scholar states:
The date of 607 for this event is baserd upon solid biblical and secular evidence and I suggest that you examine carefully the information contained in the Appendix in the publication concerning the Kingdom.
The only secular evidence Scholar is referring to is the assertions made in WTS publications when it tries to debunk historians and archeologists. The WTS DOES NOT provide any secular evidence pointing to the destruction of Jerusalem as being 607 BCE. Scholar makes no reference to REAL historians and archeologists who have REAL PhDs, who are unbiased and have no stake in what is the exact year of the destruction of Jerusalem.
He makes reference to the WTS which has invested heavily into the the year 607 BCE, a year in which if the WTS ever decided to correct itself by saying 607 is wrong, would lead to the total collapse of the superstructure on which this religion is based.
Maybe Scholar should work in getting a degree in archeology.
this year at the dc, we were expressly told to wear our badges at all times, even when going to a restaurant or some place else, so we could "give a witness.".
did any of you hear follow through with this arrangement?
did you have one of those "fantastic" experiences, when someone commented on your badge?.
Not only would I not wear it inside or outside, but I would get embarassed when I saw othe Dubs wearing it in public!
the miraculous birth 1st testimony .
it was me the daughter of the first born to my parents but not a son as my father wished and expected.
6: and when the days of her purifying are fulfilled, for a son, or for a daughter, she shall bring a lamb of the first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon, or a turtledove, for a sin offering, unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, unto the priest: .
