I have an Italian language edition of the January 1/89 Watchtower, and it definitely says:"...in the 20th century."

an announcement is expected from the martin government any day now.. if alexa is running, i'll be signing up to work on her campaign.

news pundits were predicting a late-june election.

that's only 5 weeks away!.

I think that the Liberals are going to take a nasty pasting at the elections, loosing big time in sections of the country they have always taken for granted, such as Ontario. In Quebec the BQ will probably do the best ever, even though they were sinking faster than rock in recent times.

recently the local congregation had the visit of the c.o.

the local needs talk he usually gives was replaced by a talk he said will be given to many congregations around the world.. this talk is targeting th very young.

kids are being strongly encouraged not to put off baptism and that children as young as 10 can make an informed decision to get baptized.

This is probably another attempt by the Faithfull and ~~indiscreet~~ Discrete Slave to bolster baptisms before the end of the "spiritual" year in August. This way, they can mainain that certain baptismal levels for their statistics. They must be having a very bad year compared to previous years.
