Life and death are inextricable parts of this existence. So is pain and suffering.
Indeed, the only thing that makes us any different is that we are the ones who are surprised when bad things happen to us or those we love.
You've created a strawman - that God wouldn't let bad things happen to babies - and then proven that the God doesn't exist. When babies have died from the beginning of time; just because it offends our sensibilities and seems horrible doesn't make it unusual.

This is one of the most interesting fables and has spawned a huge amount of theological thought.
This is also the earliest Biblical reference to a god / man combination in the form of Nimrod. His name, as the society pointed out once, is probably a reference to his character. "Let us rebel" is the literal meaning of Nimrod, ergo, his character is the personification of human rebellion.
He founded cities, like Cain did before the Flood. Apparently founding cities is a step away from God's plan.
There is some highly circumstantial evidence supporting the idea of a single culture that fragmented at some point in the past. Pyramids are either a genetic burp or a sign of cultural origin. (Aztec, Egyptian, etc.)
There is a certain sect of the Freemasons that worship Nimrod and want to rebuild a single world culture with a single religion. Hence, the pyramid with the eye above it - the assault on heaven and it's plans.

to whom it may concern: .
i was raised a jehovah?s witness and taught from infancy it?s beliefs and doctrines.
i was baptized on (date of baptism here) at the age of 12 years old.
Wow. that's some good writing. Should scare the bejeezus out of them.
BUT... and there's always a but...
If "annulling" the baptism isn't a recognized congregational procedure, they won't do it. It can't be done, unless there is a decree from above that would recognize such an attempt. They will treat you as though you DA'ed yourself and legally, they can do as they please. It being a religion, such internal matters are outside the jurisdiction of most Western courts.
But congratulations on taking charge and getting out while the getting's good!

reading my bible daily ,i am enjoying what i read, especially not having to constantly refer to wt literature all the time .but simply reading what is in black and white in the holy scriptures.. i came across this portion of scripture at matthew 27:52,53 .
and the memorial tombs were opened and many bodies of the holy ones that had fallen asleep were raised up,(and persons, coming out from among the memorial tombs after his being raised up,entered into the holy city,)and they became visible to many people.. two things that come to my mind from this portion of scripture.
1/ dead people are raised ie holy ones.. the society says that these were bodies that became visible that fell out from the tombs because of the earthquake ??.
It sounds like a later addition - in real terms.
In spiritual, mythological terms, the concepts of a brief resurrection and a future one could easily be resolved. According to mythology, Jesus went to Hell upon his death and freed many there bound by Satan. Perhaps some of the saints made visible manifestations within Jerusalem on their way up to Heaven. Apparently Jesus also witnessed to the demons while in Hell, delivering many unto judgement and binding them that they might trouble mankind no more.
Damn, I'm good at this... I think I need a new church. One I can call... MY OWN... mwa ha ha haaa har har har...

dear soon-to-be ex-friends:.
i hereby wholeheartedly and by my own free will request to have all records which indicate my current association with the jehovah's witnesses and it's legal entity, the watchtower bible and tract society, deleted at this time.. the extremelly long time i endured while in your company has been wonderful at times and not so much at others, just like any experience in this great life.. i've looked forward to this time for so long, in which i won't feel forced to attend all those repetitive and boring weekly meetings, add to that the exhausting and expensive assemblies, the memorial, all the time-wasting preaching activities, plus the 'expected' socializing among members.
it's all so enslaving to me!
When you are resigning from a job - it is best to give a brief non-explanation or none at all regarding your decision. Professionalism rules.
When you are leaving a religion... it may be a little different. I would suggest making sure it includes non-refutable arguments regarding their doctrine; emphasizing that "waiting on Jehovah" isn't good enough anymore. Try couching it in spiritual terms, they may leave you alone. Being considered an "apostate" is actually a great protection from harassment and the emotional torture. The shunning begins almost immediately, and while painful, is much better than repeated phone calls, JC's, and shepherding calls.
Of course, they have the imperative to save you. They are going to try - what you have to do is make it spiritually dangerous for them to visit with you. Maybe you can try convincing them to leave WITH you. Go on the offensive for a bit. It will drive them into defensive mode, and then they will never talk to you again.
Avoid becoming overly emotional. I can tell you hate the meetings. The memory of countless wasted evenings leads to my imagination being hauled into the bathroom for a spanking; if that analogy makes any sense. Trauma through boredom. But it is actually irrelevant. They won't leave you alone because you say you're bored. Good luck...

Elsewhere, if the patient refuses a medical procedure has no bearing on whether or not he was murdered. It is like a pre-existing condition. ie. He didn't just shoot anybody, he shot a JW - presumably (at least legally) knowing that they wouldn't take blood and would die because of it. Being a dub is stupid and adhering to the doctrine is moronic in the extreme - and I can prove it isn't Bible based; but the fact remains that the dub who was shot went into the situation with a long-standing and well-known stance on blood.
Legally, he was killed. His acceptance or refusal of medical treatment was irrelevant to the action undertaken. It was homicide. In my opinion, from my understanding of the case, it was justifiable; both legally and according to my own personal ethics. The man did not die because of his refusal to take blood, he bled to death as a result of the actions of the man in the parking lot with the gun.
I wish I could go on a speaking tour reasoning on the blood issue from the scriptures. I could really help a lot of witnesses, I think. But this is a symptom of a larger problem - the abandonment of dubs' personal responsibility to think for themselves and let the governing body do it all for them.
Another thought; the gun control crowd seems to want to think that not having a gun would have saved somebody's life that day - that's a bit backward. If the man hadn't had a gun, the dub would probably have beaten him to death or near to it with a PIPE. What a lousy way to go - worse than bleeding out, I think.
If the surface facts are accurate, second guessing the man's decision to defend himself with his legal options won't do any good.
Lesson: Don't hit people with pipes.

I say that he died as he wished to live - therefore he got what he wanted. We should all be so lucky.
He was still pretty brave to refuse the blood even on his deathbed. Can't take that away from him.
I think that he was deluded and that his beliefs were wrong; and I wish I could have reasoned a little with him about the matter and maybe he would still be alive. But that is all water under the bridge, now.
But as for actual hatred? Nah. Waste of time.
As for him losing his temper, I mean, who here has maintained perfect control of THEIR temper all the time? Never gotten into an altercation you regretted? I mean, not losing your temper is the best way to live, but people can't do it. Ever say something mean to a relative? Ever snarl at an elder? Ever shout or yell or threaten violence? Ever even think, "I want to kill them?"
Still, it would have been good if he hadn't hit that guy with a pipe. That's a bad idea in any case. Bringing a pipe to a gunfight? Unless it's a peace pipe, you're pretty much screwed.
