  This just out today ......

  (CNN)New CBS News/YouGov polls reveal that former Vice President Joe Biden maintains his grip on the 2020 race for president.

  Biden's up 52% to 42% over President Donald Trump among likely voters nationally, and he has a 50% to 44% edge over Trump in the key battleground state of Wisconsin as well. Biden's 10 point and 6 point advantages are the exact same they were when CBS News/YouGov polled the contests before the party conventions. The polls are reflective of a race that barely budges even after two conventions, protests and unrest in some cities over police brutality and as the nation navigates the coronavirus pandemic. Indeed, the stability of this race is record breaking when looking at polling dating back to 1940.

  Its just a logical known fact that when a country is in economic strife or social unrest they look toward change of their political leaders.

  This is now within the US, so expect to see this in the coming election.

  How Often is 1914 Openly Spoken of at the Meetings?

  as someone who left in 1991 aged 21, one of my overriding memories of growing up in the watchtower was being able to "prove" the end times by referencing 1914.. major change in 95 then again after that.

  if i'm being honest i could not even tell you now what the current teaching is.. for those who still attend the meetings, is it still openly spoken about?

  i genuinely curious as i wonder if the teaching will be altogher dropped eventually, and one of the easiest ways to achieve that is to stop speaking about it.

  Jesus actually condemned and admonished his followers upon setting a time god's own sacred time but I guess the leaders of the Watchtower Corporation didn't accept that instruction and guidance by Jesus in preaching his Gospel.
  

  The WTS/JWS have been involved in unscriptural apostate false prophesying for over 100 years.
  

  The leaders of the WTS/JWS (GB) had consumed themselves into their literature publishing and proliferation agenda diverging away from accurate bible interpretation and adherence, they essentially turned themselves into sinning apostate false prophets and lured others into being the same.

  so this weekend my girlfriend and i will move into our own place together.

  it turns out that “a cord of three strands is stronger” is bullshit and two people in a relationship are perfectly capable of being happy without outside influence.

  what a journey i’ve had since leaving 3 and a half years ago!

  I just hope the American people vote in a President that isn't constantly in the news for saying or doing something stupid, unscrupulous and socially immoral.

  Received a letter from a JW today.

  it started off as "dear friend ,as one of your neighbours" , however the postmark on the letter was from 2 townships away ?

  a good twenty minute car drive away .a minor point i know.

  it goes on about how she is concerned about the effects that current events are having on the welfare of the community and the corona-virus has prevented her from discussing the issues personally with me.. she then goes on to state and quote jeremiah 29:11 and then goes on to say "for more information about this promise and other questions like :.

  I would just toss whatever any JWS gives you, they are brainwashed idiots who reiterate whatever the WTS tells them to do, they are being manipulated, exploited as well guilt ridden into doing so.

  I think Trump has built up too many negatives over himself in the past 4 years of his presidency that a portion of the people who voted Republican last time are going to vote Democrat this time.

  The reality is 1914 was a unscriptural apostate marketing scheme to lure people to the WTS literature.

  Yes the JWS have been involved preaching a false commercialized version of the Gospel of Jesus.
  

  The leaders of the WTS were more fixated to create attention to the literature they were going to publish than adhering to Jesus's proclamation that that no one knows of the time not even he.

  The GB leaders of the WTS/JWS have been downplaying 1914 recently but haven't come out as of yet to the extent in dropping the doctrine altogether saying it being false or wrong.
  

  Remember the JWS religion isn't supposed to be false religion, they point that descriptive identity to other religions.

  As it can be seen with JWS you can be intelligent as well narcissistic with sociopath tendencies.

  People who join the JWS usually are having some personal problems in the lives which they assume (believed) are going to be resolved by joining the religion and they will be happy as a result.

  Religion in many respects has much to do with exploiting psychological emotions a long with human ignorance .
