  i was never a jw but i lurk in this forum occasionally, trying to rescue some family.

  i will spare you those details.. jw.org and jwfacts are there with youtubes out the wazoo but i would appreciate your thought on this.. i know there are contradictions plenty but this is foundational, blatant and current.

  Scripturaly the self described anointed ones of the IBSA could not been what they said they were because they were apostate false prophets.

  How or why would God choose these men if they were false teachers and sinners according to Jesus instructions for preaching his Gospel.?

  In essence the top leaders of the IBSA including J Rutherford were self glorifying themselves to something they were not.

  They created their own subsequent semblance of power to themselves through acts of apostasy and rebellious sin.

  Most of ancient mythology is fictional bullshit expressed to create power and relevance to a certain god or people connected to a select god.

  The JWS cult now is just using man made machines to spread about that ancient fictional bullshit, most people see it as fictional, some dont and embrace it as it were real.
  

  Back in her mid 1980's the WTS/JWS demeaned computers and their use but once it was realized the use of these machines would be cheaper $$$ and easier to spread the bullshit they use to create power and money, they adopted it fully without restriction.

  This new law/Bill is wrong in that it lessens the guilt and wrong doing for an adult 18+ enticing an child/ prepubescent into committing a sexaul act.

  ie. a 8 year old hardly knows anything about sex so its the adolescent that is at fault for instigating the act.

  (CNN)New CBS News/YouGov polls reveal that former Vice President Joe Biden maintains his grip on the 2020 race for president.

  Biden's up 52% to 42% over President Donald Trump among likely voters nationally, and he has a 50% to 44% edge over Trump in the key battleground state of Wisconsin as well. Biden's 10 point and 6 point advantages are the exact same they were when CBS News/YouGov polled the contests before the party conventions. The polls are reflective of a race that barely budges even after two conventions, protests and unrest in some cities over police brutality and as the nation navigates the coronavirus pandemic. Indeed, the stability of this race is record breaking when looking at polling dating back to 1940.

  Its just a logical known fact that when a country is in economic strife or social unrest they look toward change of their political leaders.

  How Often is 1914 Openly Spoken of at the Meetings?

  as someone who left in 1991 aged 21, one of my overriding memories of growing up in the watchtower was being able to "prove" the end times by referencing 1914.. major change in 95 then again after that.

  if i'm being honest i could not even tell you now what the current teaching is.. for those who still attend the meetings, is it still openly spoken about?

  i genuinely curious as i wonder if the teaching will be altogher dropped eventually, and one of the easiest ways to achieve that is to stop speaking about it.

  Jesus actually condemned and admonished his followers upon setting a time god's own sacred time but I guess the leaders of the Watchtower Corporation didn't accept that instruction and guidance by Jesus in preaching his Gospel.

  Oh How Far I've Come

  so this weekend my girlfriend and i will move into our own place together.

  it turns out that “a cord of three strands is stronger” is bullshit and two people in a relationship are perfectly capable of being happy without outside influence.

  what a journey i’ve had since leaving 3 and a half years ago!

  I just hope the American people vote in a President that isn't constantly in the news for saying or doing something stupid, unscrupulous and socially immoral.

  Received a letter from a JW today.

  it started off as "dear friend ,as one of your neighbours" , however the postmark on the letter was from 2 townships away ?

  a good twenty minute car drive away .a minor point i know.

  it goes on about how she is concerned about the effects that current events are having on the welfare of the community and the corona-virus has prevented her from discussing the issues personally with me.. she then goes on to state and quote jeremiah 29:11 and then goes on to say "for more information about this promise and other questions like :.

  I think Trump has built up too many negatives over himself in the past 4 years of his presidency that a portion of the people who voted Republican last time are going to vote Democrat this time.
