  Seeing JWs in a positive light.

  not a new light, just a positive light.. sometimes on here i worry that all jws are painted with a bad brush when i know that not to be the case.

  today i was looking after a jw patient on the ward and she was the most wonderful old girl you could meet, she really made me smile, and she was bright as a button.

  later her family came in, who i didn't recognise and they were just as pleasent.

  Besides generalizing and distorting what people's views really are, you live in a fantasy world, Scoob.

  You keep forgetting that JWs are trained to see everybody as a potential "bible student" and go the extra mile to give them a "good witness", until they find out that you're an undecided JW, gay, who may not believe the 1914 scam, who may donate and accept blood to save a life... you name it.

  Stop dreaming and wake up to reality, my friend!

  Jehover's Witness on Discovery Health channel last night -- No Blood

  last night i was channel surfing when i came across a discovery health program that followed cases in an emergency room.

  one of them was about a jw woman who had some sort of head injury.

  to be honest, i did not watch the whole thing, but i did manage to record it on my dvr while i watched other things.

  Watchtower and UN

  maybe i'm a little behind on this, but i have seen several posts of people wanting info on the whole watchtower/un thing.. i came across this today.

  compares the societies stand on ymca membership with their own membership with the un.. http://watchtowerunitednations.blogspot.com/.

  That website/blog sounds, smells and look like the e-watchman.com.

  How did 1975 affect you?

  i lived thru the 1975 fiasco.

  many here did too.. on another board there was discussion about the way the congregations were before 1975. some thought that they were like small country churches in some ways.

  we did our own work on repairs at the kingdom hall, like a family.

  Ohh, it affected me greatly. My parents got into the JW religion because of the "urgency" of 1975.

  with clarity of mind, he is likely to suppose that , at worst, the old men who run things.
