  police warn all male clubbers, partygoers and unsuspecting pub regulars to be more alert and cautious when accepting a drink offer from a girl.. there is a date rape drug going around called "beer" and it appears in liquid form.

  the drug is being used by female sexual predators at parties to persuade male victims to have sex with them.. "beer" is available virtually anywhere.

  My wife is thinking of quitting the "truth"!

  last night my wife said she was thinking about quitting the truth.she says she finds it too hard with me having doubts and not wanting to be a jw anymore.she has also been burned by her few jw friends,and the rest are either disfellowshipped or getting divorced.it's really hard to build lasting relationships with such people in the religion.. another positive factor is that she has made 2 good "worldly" friends over the past year.i think she's starting to see that people on the outside can be nice,have morals and accept others as they are.. i hope in time she starts feeling good about this decision and that i can slowly show her the many errors of the wts.so far she agrees with many of the things i've told her but still believes it's the truth.it's a hard battle but i never tought i'd hear her say those words.. btw,she finally called a local elder to see if he can help me with my many questions.he's coming over tonight so it should be quite interesting.i think he'll be a little surprised at some of the direct questions i have;i'm also hoping that after a while he decides there's not much hope for me and just labels me an apostate and starts talking about df'ing me.that would show my wife their attitude towards answering questions that have no scriptural answers.. anyways,i'll do my best to keep you all up-dated.it can be hard to post as my wife diesn't know i come here on a regular basis.. goldminer

  Aux. pioneers can now attend the first half of the CO's Pioneer meeting

  while looking at the notice board of our pending co's visit, i noticed on his letter to the congregation that auxiliary pioneers can now attend the first half of the pioneer meeting.. i've never heard of this before, i thought only regular pioneers could attend.. is this a change in policy?

  what would be the reasoning behind it?

  to give them a taste of what it is to be a regular pioneer?

  The second half is absolutelly non eventful and uninteresting, as it likely adds nothing to an already empty gathering, but it has to be kept a "privilege" only for the superior casta.

  New member of the Governing Body from Australia

  jeff jackson has just been appointed to the gb.

  he is a family friend from tasmania, a little island at the bottom of australia.

  he is about 50 and claimed to be annointed when i think he was in his late 30's, as a great shock to everyone.

  "Feels good don't it!! My father is still PO of our congregation, and City Overseer as well. He has been heading up various convention departments for decades. He is so into his "secret decoder ring" elder stuff. The authority, the secrecy (confidentiality), etc. So I love dropping bombs like this one in his lap."
