  Kingdom Hall for Sale............Again

  well, the old kingdom hall has a "new" for sale sign on the property.. it's not as big as the one that was there last year.

  that one was taken down quite a while ago, and not replaced right away, so i assume that it was taken off the market for a few months.. it's the one that is in northern rhode island, and is still prime business property, so if and when it sells, the profit will be extremely high.

  more money power for the watchtower.. hubert.

  I got DF'D yesterday

  i got a call from my wife today.

  she said they made the announcement at the hall yesterday that i got df'd.

  they said that i am no longer a jehovah's witness.

  That's nice, Iron. I mean, it's nice 'cause you alredy expecting it and have no trouble being dfed.
  It feels good to close a chapter like that, doesn't it?
  "With all that is going on now in my life, at least this chapter is now closed. Now I can move on. I just wanna thank everyone for all of your support and help with my research. I truly love you all."

  if it were not for all of the very hard work that simon does behind the scenes to keep this forum up, much of the other work others are doing could never have happened.. this site serves as an excellent central location for us all to communicate and exchange thoughts and ideas about how to expose the evil ways of the wts.. simon, thank you very much!

  Scientists Find Water on Saturn Moon

  the cassini spacecraft has found evidence of liquid water spewing from geysers on one of saturn's icy moons, raising the tantalizing possibility that the celestial object harbors life.

  the surprising discovery excited some scientists, who say the saturn moon, enceladus, should be added to the short list of places within the solar system most likely to have extraterrestrial life.. recent high-resolution images snapped by the orbiting cassini confirmed the eruption of icy jets and giant water vapor plumes from geysers resembling frozen old faithfuls at enceladus' south pole.. "we have the smoking gun" that proves the existence of water, said carolyn porco, a cassini imaging scientist from the space science institute in boulder, colo.. if enceladus does harbor life, it probably consists of microbes or other primitive organisms capable of living in extreme conditions, scientists say.. the findings were published in friday's issue of the journal science.. david morrison, a senior scientist at nasa's astrobiology institute, cautioned against rushing to judgment about whether the tiny moon could support life.

  scientists generally agree habitats need several ingredients for life to emerge, including water, a stable heat source and the right chemical recipe.. "it's certainly interesting, but i don't see how much more you can say beyond that," morrison said.. scientists believe mars and jupiter's icy moons might have or once had conditions hospitable to life.. saturn is around 800 million miles from earth.

  my atheist's book of bible stories is nearly complete, so i thought i would write the epic masterpiece history of my family, from the time that they came to canada until today.

  i am calling the book "east of edenwold" (which is a small town in saskatchewan).

  You see? I was thinking... this could be the way to go about awakening some JWs: showing the foolishness of those assemblies/conventions, the time wasted, the money ill spent, etc. etc. without touching any JW doctrine... humn, just thinking...

  just a few days ago someone posted here a very good quote from the 1984 survival into a new earth book.

  it contained a statement that was just flat out wrong.

  i remembered thinking that it was a very good quote to have for reference.. of course, now i can't find the thread, and can't remember the quote!!!!.

  In 1995 there was an "adjustment" in the "understanding" of the "generation of 1914".
  
  However, there is still no word on the "understanding" of 1935 date or the "anointed on earth" teaching. Either one of those two teachings is wrong.

  Thanks VM44 for bringing this up.
  Some people may not understand why 1935 is another failed date. So, here is the summary of the whole thing for those not deep into the JW thing:
  
  Until 1935, the WT taught that the special group of 144,000 was still being gathered. However, in 1935 their number was completed (all filled up). Only replacements of unfaithful "anointed" (the 144,000) would happen. This is all fine and good...
  
  ...however, the WT also has another teaching that says that when the "Great Tribulation" breaks out, there will still be members of the "anointed ones" on the earth. They apply Jesus words "on the account of the chosen ones, those days will be abbreviated..." to mean that some anointed would still be alive right here.
  
  And that is the problem. If you start from 1935 and you consider that an anointed person back then would be a grown up person in his 30s, it only takes simple arithmetics to conclude WHEN the "Great Tribulation" would break out. Even if you're very optimistic by adding 60 years to someone alive at that age in 1935, this would take you to about 1995.
  
  Well, needless to say that 1995 has come and gone, and so far no GT as far as my eyes can see.
  
  Therefore, 1935 IS ANOTHER FAILED PROPHECY.
  
  So, WT, your time is up indeed!!! What's the explanation?
