GermanXJW,
don't back down and don't be too upset. That's the way it is, unfortunately!
This just shows how a mind, once controlled, takes quite some time to go back to normal.

Hi Metra,
you scare the folks talking like that! :)
But yes, you're right; I'm glad I did it 3 years ago.

I read an argument on the latest Watchtower that talked about blood that goes like this: a component may play such a life saving role that may be objectionable to the true Christians....
What a load of...
Why would anyone take any blood treatment if it wasn't to save a life... (shaking head in disbelief)
"Sister Superzealous, we know you're very sick, but just keep in mind that this treatment involves components that play a life saving role, and you know that only the blood of Christ can save our lives, don't ya".

Unless you believe in "spirit(s)" you cannot be "spiritual"
by logansrun inupon a fine conversation with a good forum member last night i started to think about the meaning of the word spiritual.
many people, including some agnostics and atheists, use this word with some regularity.
"i'm not religious, but i am spiritual" is something even i have said.

Yap is a part of the Federated States of Micronesia, I really wonder why they list Yap, Chuuk, Poenpae, and Kosarie as different countires, becvasue they are all one
Oh.... Now I see why they are in soooooo many "lands"... and love to brag about it... Oh, I see...
As for Brazil, I'll tell you: growth there at 4% percent is real bad. Don't have all the stats in front of me now, but not long ago it used to be 12%, 10%, 8%... and now 4%. Brazilians are getting smarter and smarter...

New Provision to Assist Us to Abstain From Blood - Dec KM
by truthseeker inif you wondered whether the society would print blood cards this year, they won't.
blood cards are out.. consider the box found on the december km, entitled "new provision to assist us to abstain from blood".
the governing body has approved combining the essential elements of the durable power of attorney (dpa) document and the advance.

I think this is big deal.
The Blood Card, we were told, had to be signed every year to keep it up to date. In Brazil people are told that a document OF THIS KIND signed longer than a year ago could not be as effective as one recently signed, as hospitals could simply disregard it.
Now we are told that not only combining both documents is a good thing, but also that they will be valid indefinitly.
This is Jehovah's Organization ever confusing messages...!
